Refreshing Summer Fun at Hanmaum Neighborhood Park

If your family is looking for a place to enjoy water activities while escaping the summer heat, Hanmaum Neighborhood Park in Dangjin is worth considering.
This park features both a water play area and a splash pad, making it a great option for siblings of different ages or multi-generational families to enjoy activities that suit their preferences.
With no entrance fee, it is recognized as a prime urban summer retreat.
After the rainy season, I visited the park during a particularly hot day. Although I arrived early in the morning and couldn't see the facilities in operation, I noticed that both attractions were ready, suggesting that people of all ages could have a refreshing time.
Located at 9 Bukmun-ro 2-gil, Dangjin, Hanmaum Neighborhood Park offers more than just water play. Its central urban location enhances accessibility.
During my visit, preparations for the water activities were underway. The park's water play area will be operational from July 14 to August 31, 2026, following the same schedule as last year with 50 minutes of operation followed by a 10-minute break. Please note that the park will be closed on Tuesdays and during rainy weather.
The water play area is quite spacious, allowing for various activities. Right in front of it, there is a splash pad open to everyone, scheduled to operate from July 15 to September 6, 2026, from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, also closed on Tuesdays and during rain.
Additionally, there is a playground beneath the water play area, ideal for children to enjoy before or after their water activities. The artificial turf soccer and basketball courts provide a great way to have fun before cooling off in the water.
The expansive recreational space is a notable feature, making it a satisfying summer outing for families of all ages. Families with young children can start their water fun at the safer splash pad and naturally transition to the more active water play area.
Dangjin City's efforts to provide various water facilities in urban parks reflect a commitment to ensuring that residents can enjoy a refreshing summer close to home.
As the heat continues, I recommend families who haven't visited yet to head to Hanmaum Neighborhood Park before the end of August. You will find that even a nearby neighborhood park can create special summer memories.
