Preparing for National Emergencies
Shinan County is preparing for potential national emergencies.
To strengthen local emergency preparedness,
we will conduct the '2026 Eulji Exercise' from August 18 to 21.
The Eulji Exercise is a nationwide training aimed at protecting citizens' lives and property
and maintaining government functions during national emergencies
such as war or similar crises.
This exercise will be conducted as realistically as possible.
During the Eulji Exercise, we will operate a comprehensive situation room for wartime,
summon public officials for emergencies, organize and transition wartime structures,
discuss situation measures and tasks, conduct counter-terrorism training,
and carry out civil defense evacuation drills.
Through this, we will meticulously check the roles and response systems of each department
in the event of an emergency.
We will establish a close cooperation system with relevant agencies,
especially military units, police, and fire departments,
to enhance our response capabilities to various crisis situations that may arise in the region.
We will focus on training to master the duties and action guidelines
of each department and individual according to the emergency response plan.
Shinan County Mayor Kim Tae-sung stated,
"The Eulji Exercise is not just a training; it is a core emergency preparedness measure
to protect the safety of the nation and the community."
He emphasized that all public officials should approach the training with a real-world mindset
and ensure rapid response capabilities to any emergency situation
based on close cooperation with relevant agencies.
Preparedness in daily life leads to safety.
Since emergencies can occur at any time and in any form,
thorough preparation and repeated training are essential.
Through this Eulji Exercise, Shinan County will once again meticulously check
its emergency response system and strengthen its preparedness
to protect the precious daily lives and safety of its citizens.
