October Days and a Trip to Jeju!

Can you believe it's already mid-October?!
After the long holiday, this month seems to be flying by. With the kids keeping me busy, our trip to Jeju Island is just around the corner. The day we've been promising ourselves for months is finally here!
Let me share some snippets of my autumn days so far.
It's only a two-day, one-night trip, but there's so much to prepare! Between packing and getting the house ready for our 48-hour absence, I've been skipping my morning alarm lately from exhaustion... I'm cleaning the house today and starting to pack my bags.
It's been so long since I last visited Jeju... almost 20 years! Back then, a must-do was the *Dol Hareubang* (stone grandfather statue) tour, and buying orange-flavored chocolate as a souvenir. Jeju Island must be the city that has changed the most in the last twenty years. There are so many trendy places now!
I've been working hard to coordinate our itinerary, even planning backup courses for rainy days. I hope we can visit all the places, eat all the food, and laugh our way through the trip!
Will we succeed in getting a table at Yeondon (돈까스 식당)? Or Bada Sulsang (해산물 식당)?
What We Did During the Holidays
Rainy days and sunny days, about half and half. We had a wonderful time with family during the extended ten-day holiday.
We cooked meals, slept in for a few days, and took trips to nearby attractions.
One night, I watched Park Chan-wook's "Short Film: I can't get started." at 1 AM. The time flew by so fast, it was so fun.
My husband grumbled that it was boring, haha.
He said the actors' performance was the only interesting thing, and the story was so-so.
This year, our family is enjoying going to baseball games.
The team store was having a 30% off sale on uniforms, so we rushed over! My husband's eyes lit up.
It was a battle of the buyer (him) versus the preventer (me).
He claimed he was buying them for the kids, haha.
I also bought one... why did I do that?
I don't even go to the games... Anyway, I'm rooting for the Samsung Lions these days!
During the holidays, I do all the shopping I've been putting off with the kids.
After the summer that felt so long, it suddenly cooled down in October, so we headed to the outlet mall to prepare for fall.
Kids outgrow their shoes so quickly...
Whenever we go, if there is the right size, it's important to buy it in advance.
After visiting Kyobo Bookstore, we soaked in the night of Dongseongro.
The kids don't usually go out at night, so they always want to go home when there are too many people.
Now that they're in upper elementary school, they're more interested in their appearance.
So, when my daughter wanted to look at makeup, I took her to Olive Young for the first time.
She was amazed by the world of beauty and said she wanted to be an adult.
On the way home, we bought chicken gizzard from Pyeonghwa Market.
It doesn't taste that special, but I keep wanting to eat it.
By the way... the forecast is calling for rain. I hope a weather fairy, not a weather goblin, appears! I'll be up all night tonight, and heading to the airport early tomorrow morning!
