My Experience with the 'No Thought, No Mind' Challenge

Hello~~
2026 Geochang ON Spring Festival
Sharing my experience from one of the side events
[No Thought, No Mind Challenge]
!
This challenge allowed both pre-registration and on-site registration.
I thought, "Isn't it easy to just do nothing?" and decided to participate.
After receiving my headset at the operation desk, I chose a spot on a chair or yoga mat.
From the moment I sat down, any small movement except blinking or breathing would lead to disqualification.
I intentionally sat at the back, but I found that doing nothing was surprisingly difficult.
Even fanning myself or maintaining eye contact with the staff was considered a movement, which made me realize that "No Thought, No Mind" was more challenging than I expected.
The challenge was planned to last about an hour. The first 20 minutes were a calm phase with relaxing music from the headset.
After 20 minutes, various distractions from the host and staff began for the next 20 minutes.
I faced a bit of a crisis during this time, but I managed to endure and didn’t get disqualified for about 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, the host announced that the challenge was really ending, and when I moved, I was disqualified.
I aimed for first place but ended up receiving a participation prize: rice from Geochang.
The participants who lasted until the end had their heart rates checked very precisely, and the last one standing received the first prize.
The purpose of this challenge was to allow busy modern people to take time to truly "rest" without doing anything.
During the challenge, I realized how I rarely have time to just "be still" and promised to take breaks and take care of myself in the future!
