Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea: The Stunning Yesan Yedangho Suspension Bridge

Hello! I'm MJ, a travel influencer and citizen reporter from Chungcheongnam-do. Last week, I visited Yesan in Chungcheongnam-do, and one of the highlights of my trip was the Yedangho Suspension Bridge.
Despite the sudden drop in temperature, the expansive view of the lake was breathtaking!
If you're planning a trip to Yesan, I highly recommend visiting the Yedangho Suspension Bridge :)
As you approach the bridge, you'll be greeted by a beautiful sign that reads "2025-2026 Year of Visiting Chungnam and Yesan."
Next to it, there are impressive sculptures of a 'stork' and a large 'egg' across the way. Yesan is known as the last habitat of the stork before its extinction in Korea, and through restoration efforts, storks have been reintroduced to the area.
Being a representative tourist spot in Yesan, there are stamp tour boxes for the Korean Tourism 100 and Yesan Stamp Tour near the bridge.
The Yedangho Suspension Bridge is one of the "100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea." It was completed in December 2019 and features a width of 1.8 meters, a tower height of 64 meters, and a length of 402 meters.
I walked across the bridge, which spans the Yedang Lake, measuring a circumference of 40 km and a length of 2 km from east to west.
Fortunately, the swaying wasn't too intense, allowing people of all ages to cross comfortably while enjoying the scenery of Yedang Lake.
In the middle of the bridge, there is an observation deck accessible via spiral stairs.
The view of the calm Yedang Lake reflecting the clear sky is stunning, even if the air is chilly.
From a distance on a hill, the bridge appears majestic and beautiful.
As you walk along the trail towards the sculpture park, you can see the magnificent sight of the suspension bridge against the blue sky and mirrored lake.
Continuing uphill, you can enjoy the overall view of Yedang Lake and the surrounding tourist area.
The area also features well-maintained walking paths, pavilions, and benches for relaxation.
Additionally, you can explore a sculpture park showcasing various elements representing Yesan, such as apples.
There are paid adventure facilities within the tourist area that are grand in scale, appealing to both children and adults.
The monorail, which travels around the lakeside for about 20 minutes, is also a fun attraction.
My visit to the Yedangho Suspension Bridge, sculpture park, and monorail was enriching. It's not just about crossing a bridge; the area is filled with walking paths and attractions, making it a satisfying travel destination. The best part is that you can enjoy this beautiful scenery and facilities for free (excluding some paid experiences).
I recommend this place to:
✔️ Those looking for a flat, easy-to-walk destination to visit with parents.
✔️ Anyone wanting to relax and enjoy a wide lake view.
✔️ Families who want to enjoy nature learning and activities with children.
✔️ Those seeking a day trip driving course near Seoul or Gyeonggi.
Before the weather gets colder, why not plan a trip to Yesan with your loved ones?
The Yedangho Suspension Bridge is located at 39 Husa-ri, Eungbong-myeon, Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do.
