Mini-Daenggi (Korean Traditional Ribbon) Making Class at Seoul Plaza with The Eroun!

Hello! This is The Eroun, a Korean cultural experience and traditional craft instructor. Today, I'm excited to share news about the Mini-Daenggi (Korean Traditional Ribbon) Making Korean Cultural Experience Class held at Seoul Plaza.
The Eroun participated in the "Chuseok Together Market" event, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, with a Korean cultural experience booth. We've been conducting mini-daenggi keyring classes in various locations, and the organizers contacted us after seeing our work.
The organizers requested a mini-daenggi keyring class as part of their traditional craft activities. After about two months of communication, we prepared for this event with 200 mini-daenggi keyring kits, allowing for 20-minute sessions each hour.
The Eroun has extensive experience and know-how from conducting classes in schools, institutions, and centers. We directly produce the kits, allowing us to adjust the difficulty level and class duration based on the participants.
Typically, outdoor experience events like this require participants to complete a kit and create a product in a short amount of time. Therefore, we use semi-finished kits (partially pre-stitched) designed to be completed in about 15 minutes.

We were among many vendors selling agricultural products from across the country at the spacious Seoul Plaza lawn. The Korean cultural experience classes were divided into time slots and held in the afternoon.
As it was a free event, many people signed up for time slots and waited in line. Participants ranged from students to seniors and even foreigners.
The mini-daenggi keyring making activity offered a choice of four traditional Korean pattern designs. Participants were able to create their own mini-daenggi keyrings with simple sewing.
Many participants mentioned that it had been a long time since they had sewn, but they sewed so diligently and decorated their keyrings with pretty embellishments. I was delighted to hear their compliments throughout the class.

Some elementary school students participated with their mothers, and there were also couples, sisters, and fathers and daughters participating together.

Foreigners also participated, and the mini-daenggi keyring making kits included instructions translated into English, ensuring that English speakers could easily understand the process.
Of course, I also provided explanations in my limited English. (I always wish I could speak English fluently!)

With the K-pop and K-demon hunters craze, many foreigners are visiting Korea and participating in various events. Simple yet engaging Korean cultural experience classes like this are becoming increasingly popular.
However, not many experiences are consistently useful and highly satisfying. The Eroun creates Korean cultural experience kits with high-quality materials.

One of the foreigners who made a mini-daenggi keyring said, "It was a great memory to make something beautiful at such a wonderful event," which made me very happy.

I hope that these small Korean cultural experiences leave a positive impression on foreigners visiting Korea, encouraging them to return. (Suddenly feeling patriotic... haha!)
The Eroun's Korean Cultural Experience Class is recommended for:
- Foreigners who want to experience Korean culture (tourists, foreign residents, multicultural families)
- Corporate and organizational healing workshops
- Tourism-related events
- Elementary, middle, and high school experiential learning
- Parent and teacher training programs
The traditional Korean patterns of the mini-daenggi keyrings are inspired by various Korean colors and patterns. By using fabrics that capture traditional Korean colors, patterns, and aesthetics, the finished mini-daenggi keyrings create vibrant and eye-catching accents.
