Launch of the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign to Support Neighbors in Need

The city of Dangjin has officially launched the 'Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign' to promote a culture of giving during the year-end season. This fundraising campaign will run for approximately two months, from December 1 to January 31, 2026, and the collected funds will be used to assist the less fortunate in the local community.

On December 2, a kickoff event was held at the Dangjin City Hall auditorium, attended by around 300 citizens and representatives from various organizations. The event featured performances, awards for outstanding contributors, donation presentations, and messages of love, fostering a spirit of sharing.
The city stated, "Thanks to the warm participation of citizens last year, we raised over 1.4 billion won, which greatly supported those in need. We hope to continue creating a Dangjin where donations change lives and sharing enhances the city's value."
The fundraising goal for 2026 is set at 800 million won. Both individuals and organizations can participate in the campaign through various methods:
- Individual donations: Giro and dedicated account deposits
- Organizational donations: In-person contributions
- Donation boxes: Available at the city hall, administrative offices, and designated locations
Donated funds and items will be utilized for emergency support for families in crisis, care for vulnerable groups such as the elderly living alone and individuals with disabilities, and assistance for stabilizing livelihoods. The city plans to manage the distribution process transparently and ensure quick allocation to those in need.
Dangjin has consistently achieved high fundraising results each year, establishing itself as a 'city where sharing is alive.' The recent fundraising records are as follows:
