What is Jeongseon Rail Bike, you ask?
The Jeongseon Rail Bike was created in 2005 on the closed Gujeol-ri Station to Auraji Station section of the Jeongseon Line.
(You can return from Auraji Station to Gujeol-ri Station by scenic train.)
The abandoned railway has been reborn as a tourist attraction, with approximately 4.4 million cumulative visitors to date, establishing itself as a symbolic landmark of Jeongseon!
Total distance: 7.2km one way.
Enjoy the scenery of valleys, mountains, and rivers on the rails.
This place shows a different face with each changing season, making it a scenic spot you won't regret visiting any time of year.
There are also plenty of 감성 (gamseong - emotional/aesthetic) cafes to take a break!

Grasshopper's Dream Grasshopper Cafe (Gujeol-ri Station Departure Point)
This restaurant and cafe has an eye-catching exterior, composed of two stacked trains in the shape of two grasshoppers!
They say it's a 맛집 (matjib - famous restaurant) for Gondre Rolkatsu, so give it a try!
Eorumchi Place (Auraji Station Arrival Point)
This cafe features a sculpture modeled after the Manchurian trout (Eorumchi), a natural monument.
It's a Jeongseon landmark that has even won the Public Design Grand Prize.
Both spaces are a perfect match for the natural theme of the rail bike, making them great photo spots!
