'Papillon Zip' is a name that combines 'Papillon', which means the inherent human desire for freedom, and 'Zip', which means compressing and connecting various functions.
Inside, you'll find 'Cinematic Bookstore (영화로운 책방)', a book cafe-style cultural space created by remodeling the gymnasium.
The brick exterior and warm lighting create a calm yet emotional atmosphere, and you can also browse various exhibits such as movie posters and correctional books.
If you come to the ticket booth, you will find information about fees and a souvenir shop.
Here, you can also rent prison uniforms, allowing you to enjoy a unique and special experience.

The Jangheung Archive exhibits historical materials from the Jangheung Prison from 1975 to 2015, as well as visiting rooms, etc.
In particular, you can see at a glance the changes in the visiting room from the 1950s to the 2000s.
This is 'Naejeongmun', famous as a filming location for prison release scenes.
It is inscribed with the phrase 'Hopeful Correction that Opens a Bright Future', and this was the actual main gate of the old Jangheung Prison.
If the Jangheung Archive Hall is a place that collects records of the Jangheung Prison, this Correctional History Museum contains the history of punishment, the history of changes in prison food, clothing, and shelter, prison life, and examples of correctional facilities.

The Correctional History Theme Hall 1, Bricoleur, means "a person who creates and uses new things with what they have."
