Indoor Playground to Visit with Kids
Located at 298 Seokyang-ri, Yesan-eup, Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, the newly opened Yesan & You Happiness Center is a delightful indoor playground for children.
With positive reviews circulating, I was excited to visit. While it wasn't perfect, it provided a sufficiently enjoyable indoor space for preschool-aged children.
Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the ample parking, which is a significant advantage for parents, allowing for a hassle-free transition into the center.
Opened in September this year, the facilities felt brand new. The time-slot system meant that the number of visitors at any given time was manageable, allowing for a relatively relaxed experience.
Reservations can be made through the website, with walk-in tickets available for any remaining slots.
The first area I entered was the Play Box, filled with physical activities like zip-lining, soccer target practice, and basketball on trampolines. This space is particularly appealing for energetic kids, and the presence of staff in each area added a sense of safety.
The overall atmosphere was charming, making it a pleasant environment for children to play. While the facilities cater to children up to 12 years old, older elementary school kids might find it a bit less engaging.
However, it was disappointing to find two facilities closed for use, especially the much-anticipated swing photo zone.
Ascending to the second floor, I discovered the Art Box, which features media art themed around Yesan. The constantly changing visuals created an immersive experience.
The adjoining Light Play Area, with its colorful, sparkling lights, was perfect for taking photos. It was a natural spot for capturing beautiful moments as kids walked through the lighting effects, and there were even interactive elements for shadow play.
Finally, I visited the Fun Box on the first floor. This shoe-free space allowed even toddlers to play comfortably. Although not large, the structure encouraged climbing, crawling, and exploration, making it satisfactory for preschoolers.
The bright sunlight streaming in made for warm and cheerful photos. The reservation system ensured it wasn’t overcrowded, allowing kids to play freely without worrying about bumping into others.
There were also play structures inspired by Yesan's famous apples, reflecting local character, and staff regularly tidied up, which contributed to a clean and well-maintained environment.
A children's lounge area with picture books provided a nice spot for a brief rest. There was also a space for block play, adding to the variety of activities available.
The total usage time is two hours, which felt just right for the size of the facility.
