Gochang and Ungyang's Cherry Blossom Festival

I visited the "Gochang and Ungyang Cherry Blossom Day" festival in Geumgwang Village, located in Ungyang-myeon, Gochang-gun.

This festival, taking place for the first time this year, will run for three days from April 10 to April 12.
While the cherry blossoms in Gochang-eup are fading, those in Ungyang-myeon are in full bloom and absolutely beautiful!
Today was the opening ceremony of the festival, and the Ungyang Community Center prepared various cultural performances.
The event featured traditional music performances, saxophone plays, and dance shows.
The community's traditional music performance was impressive, perfect for the opening ceremony.
After the lively traditional performance, the dance performance followed.
The Harmony team from the Ungyang saxophone class delivered a fantastic saxophone performance.
There were also food stalls at the festival, where locals were cooking and selling fish cakes, green onion pancakes, and tofu with kimchi.
Coffee was only 1,000 won :)
A photo booth is set up at the main event area at the entrance of Geumgwang Village and at the end of Eoin Village.
The Gochang and Ungyang Cherry Blossom Day festival is being held at the entrance of Geumgwang Village, which is located along the cherry blossom road stretching from Gangcheon to Eoin Village.
Since it is still not a widely known place, there are not many cars passing by, allowing you to take great photos anywhere :)
You can also capture views of Gangcheon Dam.
Enjoy delicious food at the Geumgwang Village event area and take a delightful drive along the cherry blossom road.
On your way down to Gochang-eup, the Dongho Forest also has beautiful cherry blossoms, making it a great spot to stop and enjoy.
The Travel Snap Challenge is ongoing until April 26, so I recommend participating in the challenge after visiting the Gochang and Ungyang Cherry Blossom Day festival!
Although this is the first year of the festival, I hope it continues annually :)
