The cruise route departs from Dodaamsambong dock and includes Dodaamsambong → Seokmun → Eunjooam → Jarabawi → Geumgul → near Gosudaegyo before returning to the dock.
The round trip takes about 50 minutes.
After purchasing tickets and completing the boarding process, you can board the cruise.
Even on a weekday, the sunny spring day attracts many people, leading to long lines at the dock.
The cruise features two levels, with comfortable round tables and chairs for enjoying the scenic views around Dodaamsambong.
On the second floor, the bow and stern have open areas for taking photos while enjoying the view.
The first sight you will see from the cruise is Dodaamsambong, the first scenic view among the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang.
Dodaamsambong, a symbol of Danyang, consists of three peaks rising from the center of the Namhan River.
The largest peak, known as Janggunbong, stands majestically in the center, flanked by smaller peaks on either side.
As you continue north past Dodaamsambong, the first sight is the musical fountain.
Seokmun, the second scenic view, is a massive natural stone wall not far from Dodaamsambong.
This limestone cave, formed after a collapse, stands about 20 meters tall and resembles a giant rainbow-shaped door.
Looking through the hole of Seokmun at the river and village beyond feels like viewing a picture in a frame.
Beyond Seokmun, you will find Eunjooam, a small cave where salt boats used to take shelter from rain.
Nearby is Jarabawi, a rock resembling a turtle climbing up the bank, which is a popular photo spot.
After passing these sights, the cruise turns back towards Dodaamsambong.
As the boat turns, don’t miss the chance for another photo with the majestic Seokmun in the background.
Returning towards Dodaamsambong, you will see Samdojeong pavilion, built in 1766.
As you head back, you will pass Geumgul cave, an important historical site with evidence of human habitation dating back 700,000 years.
The cruise returns to the dock where it started.
After disembarking, you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms blooming around Dodaamsambong.
Relax and enjoy the spring scenery while savoring delicious local food at the Danyang market for an unforgettable experience.
