Exploring the Newly Renovated Gomagom Children's Experience Center in Gongju

I recently visited the newly opened Gomagom Children's Experience Center in Gongju, which reopened in April this year.
The center was formerly known as the Baekje Five Senses Experience Center and has been revamped with a new name.
Upon visiting, I found that it is not just a simple exhibition space; it is an interactive area where children can play and engage in hands-on experiences, which received a great response from my child.
Being an indoor facility, it is perfect for rainy or hot days.
Located right next to the Tomb of King Muryeong, it fits well into a travel itinerary for Gongju. You can easily combine visits to Gongseong Fortress, Gomanaru, and the Tomb of King Muryeong for a full day of activities with your child.
These days, entrance fees at kids' cafes can be quite high, but this place is free and surprisingly well organized.
It seamlessly connects history and play, offering a different charm compared to typical kids' cafes.
On the first floor, there are various experiences related to Baekje. Children can project images of boats they have colored onto screens and enjoy games like puzzles.
There are many interactive experiences that allow kids to touch and move things, which helps them focus much better. My child particularly enjoyed the physical play areas.
The second floor features a playground with a variety of activities, including puzzles, memory games, and block play.
Additionally, there is a library in the basement where you can take off your shoes and relax while reading books.
The facilities, including nursing rooms, are well maintained, making it comfortable for visitors with young children.
It was nice to experience the activities at a relaxed pace without a large crowd, even on weekends.
There is also a free photo zone where you can take fun pictures and download them via QR code, creating lasting memories.
After spending about two hours there, I found it to be an ideal space for children from preschool to early elementary school. My 8-year-old had a great time.
However, older elementary school kids might find it a bit less exciting.
We took the Gomayeol Train to get there, and my child loved it. You can board the train every hour at five minutes past the hour from the Tomb of King Muryeong, making it easy to enjoy the travel experience.
I recommend this free space where you can enjoy learning and playing comfortably with your child in Gongju.
