Exploring the Beautiful Coastal Path of Sapgyoho

The beautiful coastal walking path, known as the Sea Love Road, stretches approximately 1.5 km from the Sapgyoho Tourist Area to Metdol Port.
In June, the fresh air of early summer and the cool sea breeze make Sapgyoho Hamsang Park a memorable spot for visitors.
Recently, this area was lively with a drone light show, captivating many spectators.
The scenery here is so beautiful that it resembles a scene from a Japanese animation, and you can also see the iconic Ferris wheel, a landmark of Dangjin.
At the entrance of Sapgyoho Hamsang Park, there's a marine-themed experience center, perfect for a quick visit with children.
As the first naval ship theme park in Korea, Sapgyoho Hamsang Park showcases a massive landing ship, naval aircraft, and Marine Corps tanks.
With the arrival of early summer heat in June, the shaded rest area in the park provides cool mist to help visitors stay comfortable.
Many people visit this place even in the hot summer, indicating the care taken to enhance the visitor experience.
While most visitors walk along the deck path that leads to the sea at Sapgyoho Hamsang Park, did you know that you can continue walking for about 1.2 km along the deck path, capturing the vast tidal flats and sea views of the West Coast?
If you head towards the area with the moon sculpture in the park, you'll find a coastal trail that connects to Metdol Port, which is the Sea Love Road.
Following the coastline to the left from the moon sculpture will lead you to Metdol Port.
The Sea Love Road is a pleasant walk that takes about 10 minutes by car, making it accessible for everyone.
As you approach Metdol Port, you'll see a large boat-shaped restaurant and anchored boats.
On the opposite side of the Sea Love Road, lush green fields and farms can be seen.
Walking along this path while feeling the cool sea breeze and listening to the gentle sound of waves can bring a sense of peace, allowing daily worries to fade away.
Although I visited during the day, if you come at sunset, you might be enchanted by the breathtaking views of the West Sea.
Upon reaching Metdol Port, I noticed people fishing at the harbor, enjoying the beautiful sea view.
During high tide, the scenery looks especially lovely.
Metdol Port is a cozy harbor that warms the heart just by looking at it, and its name comes from the way the boat turns right during high tide and left during low tide, resembling a millstone.
While it may not be extravagant, the tranquil West Sea and the distant view of the Seohae Bridge create a picturesque scene, making it a hidden gem known only to a few.
The coastal exploration path (deck path) continues to Metdol Port, making it an excellent spot for light trekking. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy some healing time, head to the Sea Love Road at Sapgyoho!
It's a perfect deck path for a refreshing summer evening stroll.
