Exploring the Beautiful Baekgok Reservoir in Jincheon

Hello! We are the Jincheon County SNS Supporters. Today, we would like to introduce you to Baekgok Reservoir, located in Jincheon-eup, Jincheon County, Chungcheongbuk-do. Known as the most beautiful walking spot in Jincheon, it is a place where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll alone, escaping from the mundane routine of daily life and feeling refreshed.
If you are visiting Baekgok Reservoir by car, simply search for the address 'Baekgok Reservoir, Gunsong-ri, Jincheon-eup, Jincheon County, Chungcheongbuk-do' in your navigation system. It takes about 10 minutes from the Jincheon County Office. Additionally, nearby attractions include Jincheon Historical Theme Park and Jincheon Bell Museum, making it easy to find.
For those using public transport, take bus number 301 from the bus stop in front of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup) (approximately 9 minutes travel time) and get off at the Theme Park bus stop. From there, it is a leisurely 3-minute walk to the reservoir.
I visited Baekgok Reservoir on a weekday when there were fewer people, allowing me to enjoy the beautiful scenery while taking a relaxing walk. The reservoir plays a crucial role in supplying agricultural water to Jincheon and Eumseong counties, and it is well-known as one of Jincheon's scenic spots, showcasing cool and beautiful views.
Baekgok Reservoir has well-maintained paths, making it accessible for nearby residents and tourists to take light walks. The facilities are exceptionally well-managed, and although the breeze was a bit chilly, the fresh air and the sounds of birds made it a perfect place for some solitary time in nature.
While many people engage in activities like fishing or sledding at Baekgok Reservoir, it is important to note that such activities are strictly prohibited to protect the reservoir and ensure safety. Violating these rules can lead to penalties, so please enjoy the view from a distance.
There is also a suspension bridge above Baekgok Reservoir, allowing for a closer look at the stunning surroundings. Although the bridge swayed with every step, it was exhilarating to appreciate the beauty of the reservoir. I look forward to visiting again with my family in the warm spring or summer to experience even more breathtaking scenery.
