Exploring Susungdae Suspension Bridge in Geochang

Parking Lot
Today, I would like to introduce you to the Susungdae Suspension Bridge, which offers a spectacular view.
There are two large suspension bridges in Geochang.
One is a Y-shaped suspension bridge located in Hajomyeon, at the Anti-Aging Healing Land.
The bridge I will introduce today is the striking yellow Susungdae Suspension Bridge.
Visit Date: April 7, 2026
The spacious parking lot and clean restrooms were well-equipped, making it easy to use.
It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the entrance to the suspension bridge.
Most importantly, the lack of an entrance fee is a major attraction for travelers.

When you reach the Susungdae Suspension Bridge, you'll find the view is truly breathtaking.
The area, known as the best Dongcheon of Yeongnam, is also introduced with places worth visiting in Wicheon-myeon.
If given the chance, I would love to explore Wicheon Seodeok as well :)
Azalea flowers were blooming abundantly along the way, capturing my attention.
There were also amusing phrases engraved, like 'What I eat makes me who I am,' which made me smile naturally.
Usage Information
Here are the details for using the Susungdae Suspension Bridge:
✔️ Length: 240m
✔️ Walkway Width: 1.5m
✔️ Capacity: 1,310 people (based on an adult weight of 79kg)
✔️ Design Wind Speed: Stability secured even in strong winds of 31.4m/s
✔️ Seismic Design: Earthquake resistance grade 1 (recurrence period of 1,000 years)
With a grade 1 seismic design, you can cross with peace of mind.
Large parasols were also provided as a resting area in anticipation of warmer weather.
On the day I visited, it was chilly in the morning, and the wind made me pull my jacket tighter.
Once again, I felt the significant temperature difference in Geochang.
From the suspension bridge, you can see the parking lot below, which felt spacious and open.
The direction of the Susungdae wood experience center and camping area is also visible at a glance.
With cherry blossoms in full bloom, every angle offered beautiful scenery, making it a place I can confidently recommend.
I found an interesting point: a rock that looks like a 'dog begging with its paws together.'
If you zoom in, it looks even more similar.
When viewed in a gif, the impression comes to life even more :)
When you visit the Susungdae Suspension Bridge, I hope you take a moment to find the 'dog begging with its paws together' rock.
The total length of 240m means you'll soon reach the midpoint as you walk.
Initially, it felt a bit scary, but I quickly got used to it as I walked.
I descended to move on to the next cherry blossom spot.
If you're looking for a great view in Geochang, make sure to visit the yellow Susungdae Suspension Bridge.
After visiting the suspension bridge, I stopped by Byeonggok Village to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms.
Finally, at Yongwonjeong Rice Bridge, I experienced the most impressive cherry blossom scenery of the year.
It was a time to fully appreciate the beauty of Korea :)
