Located in Mitang-myeon, Pyeongchang, this cave has been strictly managed since it was designated as Natural Monument No. 260 in 1979, emphasizing its geological value and ecosystem preservation. The entrance, hidden beneath the cliffs of Baegun Mountain overlooking the Namhan River, creates a special atmosphere even before entering.

Baengnyeong Cave allows only 240 visitors per day to protect its internal environment and ensure safety. The tours are divided into 12 sessions (11 during winter), with a strict limit of 20 people per session, making advance online reservations through the official website essential.

On-site sales are limited to available spots on the day, which often sell out quickly during weekends and holidays. Visitors must arrive at least 20 minutes before their scheduled session to complete identity verification and safety equipment fitting to ensure a smooth exploration experience.

Inside the cave, visitors can observe over 13 rare formations, including unique stalactites and stalagmites, as well as 56 cave-dwelling species such as bats, spiders, and beetles that have fully adapted to the dark environment. A professional guide accompanies the group, providing detailed explanations about the cave's formation and ecological characteristics, leading to high visitor satisfaction.

The entrance fee is 18,000 KRW for adults and 14,000 KRW for teenagers and children. Groups of 20 or more receive discounts, with adults paying 14,000 KRW and children 9,000 KRW. Discounts are also available for Pyeongchang residents, disabled individuals, and veterans with appropriate documentation.

During the summer season (February 11 to November 10), the first session starts at 9 AM and the last at 3 PM, with every Monday being a regular closing day. The site has parking facilities for 37 small cars, as well as designated spaces for larger vehicles and disabled visitors, making it easy for those arriving by car.
