Exploring Jincheon: A Perfect Summer Getaway

As the sweltering heat continues, Jincheon offers refreshing water activities and various indoor attractions that are perfect for children.
The Jincheon Historical Theme Park and the Baekgokcheon Comprehensive Water Playground are great places to visit, with the nearby Jong Museum and Saenggeo Print Art Museum making it easy to explore multiple sites.
The parking lot at Jincheon Historical Theme Park is shared with the Jong Museum and Saenggeo Print Art Museum, making it quite spacious. It's only a 5-minute drive from Jincheon County Office, and there are walking paths for those who prefer to cycle.
The Jong Museum is currently hosting a national treasure exhibition featuring five pieces of blue-and-white porcelain used by the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty. This exhibition runs from May 19 to August 9, with viewing hours from 10 AM to 6 PM, and ticket sales ending at 5 PM.
Next to the Jong Museum is the Saenggeo Print Art Museum, which is currently showcasing an exhibition titled "Carving Nature's Texture and Printing the Layers of the Heart" until August 30. The admission fee for both museums is 2000 won for adults, while seniors, infants, and Jincheon residents can enter for free.
In the parking lot, there is a map of Jincheon Historical Theme Park, which reveals its large size and various facilities.
In front of the Jong Museum, there is a water garden with a fountain that looks beautiful when the water flows. It also has resting areas, making it a great spot for families to enjoy together.
At the end of the historical theme park, a path leads to Baekgok Reservoir and Sansu Park, frequented by many people exercising. If the weather is pleasant, consider walking to the reservoir to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The historical theme park features sports facilities like tennis courts, foot volleyball courts, and soccer fields, but prior permission is required for use.
The Baekgokcheon Comprehensive Water Playground is located across from the Jincheon Historical Theme Park, and visitors need to use a bridge or suspension bridge to cross over.
On the opposite side, there are playgrounds suitable for children, and in spring or autumn, it's common to see people having picnics with mats.
Along the path to the water playground, there is also a futsal court surrounded by trees, providing natural shade for users.
The Baekgokcheon Comprehensive Water Playground is equipped with various fun water facilities for children. It operates from 10 AM to 5 PM, with maintenance from 12 PM to 1 PM.
Although the notice still indicates 2024, it is expected to operate from mid-July to mid-August. For detailed inquiries about using the water playground, please contact the Jincheon County Sports Promotion Division.
Both the Jincheon Historical Theme Park and the Baekgokcheon Comprehensive Water Playground are highly recommended for family travelers. Children can have fun while parents relax in nature, enjoying both educational and experiential activities.
If you're contemplating where to go this summer, consider visiting Jincheon for a relaxing and enjoyable time.
