Exploring Jangheung Wolsanjae: A Place of Learning and Beauty

Hello, welcome to Jangheung Travel!
Today, I would like to introduce you to Jangheung Wolsanjae, built for the education and development of future generations.
Jangheung Wolsanjae is located at 307-16 Yongan-ro, Yongsan-myeon, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, in a tranquil rural village.
The site consists of the shrine Yonggangsa, the lecture hall Wolsanjae, the inner and outer gates, a management office, and storage facilities.
Upon crossing the bridge and arriving at the entrance, you can open the main gate of Wolsanjae, known as Bugangmun, to enter!
As you step through the entrance, the Wolsanjae building comes into view, adorned with the four characters ‘忠孝 (Chung-yo) and 節義 (Jeol-ui),’ which signify loyalty and filial piety. Standing before these characters reminds you that this place was once a center for educating students in the past.
In one corner of the yard, there used to be a small pond, but now it is dry, revealing the ground beneath. If it had been filled with water, the atmosphere of Wolsanjae would have felt even more enchanting.
As you wander around, the scenery of Wolsanjae blends beautifully with nature, making it a perfect spot to take a leisurely stroll and clear your mind amidst the stunning views.
Embrace the serene and beautiful landscapes of Jangheung Wolsanjae as it harmonizes with the surrounding forest!
Enjoy the peaceful and picturesque scenery!
