Exploring Cheongyang Skywalk: A Scenic Gem in South Korea

Today, I would like to introduce a special viewpoint in Cheongyang County, the Cheongyang Skywalk.
Although the Skywalk has been open for quite some time, I finally made a resolution to visit it on a June day after procrastinating through the cold winter and the breezy spring.
Cheongyang is well-known as a natural tourist destination, embracing Mount Chilkapsan and Cheonjang Lake.
Now, the Skywalk seems poised to become a landmark of Cheongyang.
Before entering the Skywalk, you will notice a striking sculpture that symbolizes the Egg Pums Park.
Located in the Jangoksa area, it resembles an egg and promotes the waterfront ecological park with its sloped walking path.
Cheongyang is playfully referred to as the 'Alps of Chungnam.'
The official name here is Chilkapsan Tower Skywalk.
The rainbow-colored emblem appears bright and full of hope, radiating energy.
With excitement, I will step inside.
The scenic views of Cheongyang unfold before you.
There are various travel courses available, including ecological and historical tours for families, breathtaking views of Cheongyang's hidden beauties, and wellness trips.
Now is a perfect time for travel, and those who want to share their experiences of Chungcheongnam-do should gather!
The cute chili-shaped cushion represents Cheongyang's signature agricultural product, Cheongyang chili pepper.
From above, the view is stunning, with green mountains and lakes harmonizing beautifully.
Visiting on a clear day enhances the refreshing sight of the ridges of Mount Chilkapsan and the blue lake.
The scenery from high above offers a moment to pause and escape the daily grind.
The Skywalk stretches 102 meters long and stands 56 meters high, with the observation deck at around 7.80 meters.
The openness can be quite dizzying, and it seems that entry might be restricted on windy days.
In the distance, the lakeside pension creates an illusion of the Alps.
If you have time, taking a paddleboat around the lake could create lasting memories.
The pedestrian bridge, measuring 600 meters, crosses over Chilkapsan Lake from the duck-shaped sculpture to the nearby natural recreation forest.
Looking up from below, the Skywalk appears inviting.
After riding the elevator down, you can almost reach out and touch the lake.
Gentle waves ripple as fish swim leisurely.
At the rooftop observation deck, you can see the iconic chili and goji berry melon of Cheongyang.
Cheongyang welcomes visitors with open arms.
Nearby attractions include the Cheonjang Lake suspension bridge and the Chilkapsan Observatory.
If you visit with children, the adjacent Wood Culture and Natural History Experience Center offers various wooden play equipment and animal exhibits.
On the second floor, there is a robot café and ice cream café operated by robots.
The local food market showcases Cheongyang's representative agricultural products, including healthy snacks.
Please note that the pedestrian bridge has been closed since June 10 due to low water levels.
Cheongyang Chilkapsan Tower, located at 704-10 Chilkapsan Road, Daechi-myeon, Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, offers free parking.
