Exploring Busan: A Guide to Convenient Parking in Nampo-dong

When planning a trip to Busan, the first thing I search for is often "Is parking available in Nampo-dong?"
On holidays, the streets are crowded with people and cars, making it exhausting to navigate if you take a wrong turn.
In the past, I relied solely on public transport every weekend, but recently I've started using a tower parking facility to save time.
The rates of "1,500 won for 30 minutes and 3,000 won for an hour" are quite rare in the Nampo-Gwangbok area.
Once you turn off the engine, the burden of the basic charge lifts, giving you a sense of relief.
If you plan to spend the whole day out, you can park for 12,000 won, which is perfect for shopping, café hopping, and evening walks!
With reduced parking stress, I found that my travel routes naturally expanded.
Being a tower facility, you only need to hand over your key at the entrance, and the staff will kindly move your vehicle.
Even novice drivers need not worry about scratches, as the robotic arm takes care of the vehicle placement.
However, SUVs, vans, electric cars, and vehicles with high bodies (including the Ray) are generally not allowed!
There are two exceptions, but they are first-come, first-served, so I recommend checking in advance if you're unsure.
The facility closes at 9 PM, so make sure to keep an eye on the time if your schedule is tight!
Operating hours are from 8 AM to 9 PM.
You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy brunch, shopping, and sunset views.
Since night extensions are not available, those wanting to see the night sea should consider switching to nearby subways or buses.
If you have receipts from restaurants, cafés, or fashion shops within a 500m radius, you can get discounts: 1,000 won off for parking over an hour, and 500 won for under an hour!
Although the maximum discount is 1,000 won, it’s a nice little bonus that saves you the cost of a coffee.
Just remember that the receipts must be from the same day and the respective store!
After parking, a few steps up the stairs lead you right to Gwangbok-ro Main Street.
You can easily walk to places like Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market, BIFF Square, and Yongdusan Park.
When your shopping bags become heavy, you can drop by the car to lighten your load—this is a great tip!
As you start to feel hungry, warm up with a half-plate of pizza and beer at Lee Jae-mo Pizza.
Then, fill up with a hearty pork belly rice bowl at Tonshow Nampo, followed by an iced latte from Stone Street Counter.
If you crave something sweet, make a quick stop at Kiki Cake or Grida Couple for churros cake.
Before you know it, your trunk will be full of shopping bags, bringing a smile to your face.
If you’re considering a monthly plan, there’s a first-come, first-served option for 120,000 won.
Many places in the Nampo-Gwangbok area exceed 150,000 won, so be quick to secure a spot!
According to the staff, they contact those who have made reservations first when a spot opens up, so it’s a good idea to put your name down early.
Let me share the course I actually took:
1. Enter the tower parking lot at 10 AM → Start with light hands.
2. Stop by "123ZO" in Gwangbok Fashion Street for a jacket.
3. Have a crispy pork cutlet for lunch at Lee Seung-hak Donkatsu.
4. Recharge with cold brew at Café Bamonos.
5. Enjoy the Busan port view from Yongdusan Park Observatory.
6. Snack at Gukje Market with tteokbokki and seed hotteok.
7. End the evening with cold noodles at Wonsan Myeonok.
After all that, I arrived back at the parking lot by 8 PM!
I submitted my receipt and received a 1,000 won discount, wrapping up the day with a total parking fee of 11,000 won.
Thanks to the tower parking, my car was safely stored, allowing me to explore freely.
Ultimately, a great travel experience shines when parking worries are alleviated.
This place offers a harmonious balance of price, accessibility, and discount benefits, making it a satisfying option for both first-time visitors and locals.
I will likely repeat this routine on my next visit to Busan.
If you want to enjoy the vibrant alleys of Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong, start by comfortably parking your car.
Eliminating the small worry of parking makes your travel experience much more vivid.
Enjoy your stroll in Busan today!
