It is located at 180-608, Pyeonghwausan-gil, Jangheung-eup, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do.
It's about a 15-minute drive from downtown Jangheung.
Admission fees are: Adults ₩3,000 / Teenagers & Soldiers ₩2,000 / Children ₩1,000.

Parking is available, and viewing is divided into two time slots.
If you visit during the day, you can observe the sun, and if you visit at night, you can observe constellations and solar system objects.
Before heading to the observatory, you can see a sundial and the zodiac.
The zodiac corresponds 12 constellations to each area and is one of the Western astrology that analyzes a person's personality and predicts the future through astrological data.
The sundial, also called Yangbu Ilgu, is a device that uses the sun's daily motion to tell time and is the oldest clock made by humans.
You can also see the solar system, making it fun to walk to the entrance while looking closely.
<Jeongnamjin Observatory> consists of a total of 3 floors.
The 1st floor has an audiovisual room, the 2nd floor has a main observation room, a planetarium, and an exhibition hall commemorating Dr. Wisangkyu.
The 3rd floor has a VR space.
The observatory is a great place to visit with children.
There are many space-related activities that children can experience and learn from directly.
You can see telescopes for observing the universe and models of Korean rockets.
There is also an exhibition on 3D printers, which are essential core technologies in the human space exploration process.
It is said to greatly help reduce time and costs.
Learn about the tools needed for Mars exploration and watch them being made with a 3D printer!
There are also spaceship models, spacesuits, and helmets, so children can wear them and experience being astronauts.
In the audiovisual room, you can watch 3D stereoscopic videos and videos related to astronomy and space.
The planetarium has 40 seats and an 8M dome screen theater where you can watch the night sky and listen to explanations about seasonal constellations and space.
It is a space where you can lie down comfortably and learn about constellations and space, regardless of day, night, or weather.
If the 1st floor has many activities, the 2nd floor allows you to study a lot about space information and Mars.
There is a memorial exhibition hall for "Dr. Wisangkyu," Korea's first Ph.D. in aerospace engineering.
There is also information about the International Space Station (ISS).
You can learn about astronauts' work and life, how to overcome zero gravity, and other things you were curious about.
If you go to the auxiliary observation room, there is a telescope where you can see the stars directly.
There are a total of 7 different telescopes, so you can observe not only planets but also galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and sunspots and prominences in detail.
The main observation room is made of a 7M circular dome, allowing for more detailed observation.
You can see detailed stars and the moon that are very different from the sky seen from the ground.
So, enjoy the beautiful night sky in the observation room!
Create special memories with your children at <Jeongnamjin Observatory>, where a lively space journey unfolds~!
