DS Camp Camping: A Kid-Friendly & Dog-Friendly Getaway in Geumsan, Chungnam

Looking for a beautiful autumn foliage camping experience? We chose DS Camp Camping in Geumsan, Chungnam, and it was a great decision!

We booked Site #5 for two nights through the Camfit app.

Before setting up our tent, we grabbed a quick Subway sandwich and explored the campground.

Here's a view of Sites #6-15 from the main building. Sites #1-5 are located just one level above!

Right in front of the main building, there's a bouncy castle for kids and a swimming pool that's open in the summer!

There are also rabbits nearby, and a game room with arcade machines, like a mini-kid's cafe!

The string lights strung between the sites were so pretty!

We visited around Halloween, so they were busy decorating!

The gingko tree was also beautiful.

The restrooms were very clean and well-maintained.

The showers weren't individual stalls, but the partitions were good, so it was fine.

There were hairdryers, heaters & fans installed so you can dry your hair without being cold or hot!

My boyfriend took this photo of the men's shower room! The facilities look pretty much the same.

Here's a view of the tent and campsite at night. The string lights were nice so it wasn't too dark!

The next day, we slept in and then had a Korean beef hot pot meal kit!

The owner recommended some tourist spots, so we decided to check one out! He recommended two places, and we went to the one that was a little closer.

Geumsan-gun in Chungnam Province is adjacent to Jinan-gun in Jeonbuk Province. The owner recommended visiting Unilam Banilam in Jinan, which is famous!

After visiting Unilam Banilam, we watched I am Solo while eating bread.

- Overall Review -

I'm still new to tent camping, and I broke a pole while setting up. Thankfully, the owner repaired it with a chainsaw, and we were saved!

The campground was generally very clean and quiet. Most of all, the owner kept asking if we were cold and was incredibly kind. We originally booked for two nights but ended up adding another night because it was so relaxing!
