Summer in Okcheon blooms slowly yet deeply.

Walking under the serene eaves of a traditional Korean house, one can feel their busy mind settle momentarily, while beside the lotus pond, pink buds begin to reveal themselves among the green leaves.

This time, we introduce the Okcheon Traditional Culture Experience Center and the lotus pond, where you can enjoy both traditional beauty and summer scenery.

The Okcheon Traditional Culture Experience Center is a space that highlights the beauty of traditional architecture, making it a pleasant place to stroll around.

With its spacious courtyard, neat tiled roofs, and a blend of pine trees and grass, it is perfect for capturing memorable photos.

The sculptures and photo zones scattered throughout add a touch of fun, especially for families with children.

The elegant atmosphere of the traditional house naturally calms your footsteps, making it an ideal spot to pause and reflect.

At the Okju Hall, you will find a tourist information center and a hanbok rental shop. By wearing hanbok and strolling through the experience center, you can create special memories that blend with the traditional landscape. Photos taken in front of traditional buildings have a unique elegance.

Okcheon Hall is a space for various experiences, allowing you to engage with traditional culture through self-directed food, crafts, and cultural experiences.

For inquiries about experience programs, please contact us. Groups should make reservations at least two weeks in advance.

If the weather were a bit cooler, I would have loved to try on hanbok. Taking pictures among the lotus flowers in hanbok would have been beautiful.

Gwanseong Hall operates as an exhibition space, showcasing materials related to Okcheon's history and traditions, making it enjoyable to combine outdoor walks with indoor exhibits.

The warm wooden structure inside the traditional house and the calm exhibition space create a peaceful environment to linger.

If you wish to stay overnight, the Gosi Mountain Hall is worth considering. It operates as a four-person accommodation, with reservations available from the 1st of each month at 9 AM for the following month.

Spending a day at the Traditional Culture Experience Center to savor the nights and mornings of Okcheon is a great choice.

There is also a traditional Korean restaurant serving hanjeongsik (a full-course meal) within the experience center, known for its neat and delicious food made from local specialties.

Adjacent to the experience center is a vast lotus pond, which, as of early July, has about 30% of its flowers blooming, offering a refreshing atmosphere before full bloom.

With many buds yet to fully blossom, we can expect an even more vibrant landscape ahead.

The sight of pink and white lotus flowers blooming among the green leaves is the softest scene of summer in Okcheon.

Especially, the moon sculpture and rabbit photo zone are popular spots for photos in the lotus pond. The breeze brushing through the lotus leaves, dragonflies perched on buds, and the scenery extending beyond the traditional house create a summer feel in every direction.

Experience the tranquility of the traditional house at the culture center and the vitality of summer at the adjacent lotus pond. If you wish to spend a quiet yet memorable day in Okcheon, walking through the Traditional Culture Experience Center and the lotus pond this season would be a delightful idea.

Since the lotus pond has no shade, it is advisable to prepare hats, parasols, or sunglasses.

There are various attractions nearby, so come visit Okcheon.
