Discover the Beauty of Bukchon at the DongYang Museum of Oriental Culture

If you're visiting Bukchon Hanok Village, I highly recommend stopping by the Bukchon DongYang Museum of Oriental Culture.
Especially on a clear, beautiful day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Bukchon from the observatory here! It's truly the best view in Bukchon.
The museum itself is historically significant as it's located on the former residence of Maeng Sa-seong, a teacher of King Sejong the Great of the Joseon Dynasty. Inside, there are many interesting things to see, making it a great place to visit with children.
Even the walk to the museum is beautiful!
As expected in Bukchon, there are many foreign visitors. You might even feel like you're in a foreign country with all the different languages you hear.^^

You can reach the museum by taking Subway Line 3 to Anguk Station, Exit 2, and walking for about 13 minutes.
Parking is available at a nearby public parking lot!
Please note that this alley is open to tourists from 10 AM to 5 PM. Remember to speak quietly as residents live here.
I also stopped by a souvenir shop along the way.
Kids are the same everywhere... foreign children were also captivated by the toy store!

The Bukchon DongYang Museum of Oriental Culture is easy to find as it has a Taegeukgi (Korean flag) displayed.
It's on your right-hand side as you walk. The path is quite straightforward.
The admission fee of 6,000 KRW includes a drink. It was a hot day, so it was perfect to enjoy a cool drink while taking in the view!

It's definitely worth visiting, as the former residence of Gobul Maeng Sa-seong is still well-preserved. My child was fascinated when I explained the history!
There's a souvenir shop at the entrance where you can purchase your ticket.
After buying your ticket, you can enter the museum through the door. Before going inside, we looked at the pottery next to the entrance.

Wow... I never realized pottery could be so beautiful and intricate! It was truly stunning and detailed!
My child and I looked at each piece, marveling at the precision and delicacy.
My child was also more interested in things they had only seen in history books before.

Seeing is believing!
There were also various stamps, which were fascinating. I wish there were more detailed explanations next to them.
Now, let's go inside the observatory.
There's clear and clean water nearby.
And the sky was so beautiful...

The lotus leaves blooming next to it created a truly beautiful scene.
You can't resist taking pictures on a day like this, right? LOL
I took so many pictures that day!~~~
The sky is beautiful, the scenery is great... this place is just a natural photo zone!

Finally, we reached the Bukchon view from the top~
I could only admire the picturesque scenery.
Many foreign visitors were there as well, and I'm sure they were also amazed by the view.
At the observatory, you'll find another hall.

This is also an exhibition hall.
Here, you can see various ceramics and tea sets.
They were so beautiful... I wondered if such things existed in that era.
It's a good place to take a quick look with your child.

While it's not a large exhibition, it offers a glimpse into the past.
This is a picture I took because I personally liked it so much!
LOL It's really small. It was charming and cute, so I loved it.

There was also a gong, and I let my child hit it lightly, but the sound was quite loud, so I immediately stopped them LOL
The weather was absolutely fantastic!
The lush green trees were also wonderful.

When we went inside to get our drinks, there were many foreign visitors there as well.
You can also order other drinks for an additional fee.
We ordered coffee for ourselves and a chocolate latte for our child.

The cafe interior was also filled with beautiful dishes~~~
My child insisted on sitting on the king's chair and sat with their arms crossed like a king LOL

Enjoying a drink while admiring the wonderful scenery felt truly healing!
There's a reason why popular places are popular.

It was only today that I truly realized how charming and beautiful Hanok roofs are...
If you want to see the beauty of Hanok blended with the beautiful autumn sky, I highly recommend this place!

And I took many more pictures on the way down.
Pictures are all that's left, after all.

It was a joyful time exploring various exhibits and enjoying the beauty of Hanok with wonderful scenery.
I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to be healed.

If you come to Bukchon, I definitely recommend visiting here!
Create precious memories with your children!~~~!
