Cool Summer Fun at Geochang Changpo Children's Water Park
As the scorching heat continues these days, many are looking for places to cool off, such as water parks.
I visited the Geochang Changpo Children's Water Park on a weekday morning and had the chance to explore the facilities without many visitors around.
It struck me as a great space to spend summer with children.

Operating Period: July 20, 2026 - August 17, 2026
Closed: Every Wednesday / During severe weather conditions
Operating Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (two sessions per day) with a break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for staff meals and rest.
Capacity: 300 people per session (300 in the morning / 300 in the afternoon)
Usage Guidelines: On weekdays, 100% on-site reservation; on weekends and holidays, 150 online reservations and 150 on-site reservations per session.
The Geochang Changpo Children's Water Park offers free admission, which is a significant advantage, especially for families during the summer vacation.
During my visit, I entered directly on a weekday morning, and I recommend making reservations through the website for weekend visits.
The park features two large inflatable bounce houses, providing ample space for children to jump around and enjoy various activities along with water play.
The water slide is safe for children, with a depth of 60 cm, and it is monitored by staff for safety.
There is a large swimming pool with a depth of about 65 cm, allowing children to play safely in the water.
Shaded areas are available to protect visitors from the harsh sun, making it comfortable for guardians to watch their children.
There are also resting spots with benches for adults to relax while keeping an eye on their kids.
Shower facilities and changing rooms are provided for convenience, with lockable lockers available for secure storage of personal belongings.
During my visit, the water playground was not operational yet, but staff informed me that it would be open the following week, adding to the fun.
Overall, the Geochang Changpo Children's Water Park is a wonderful place to create cool summer memories with family.
