With the sweltering heat and the monsoon season overlapping,
it's hard to plan outdoor activities these days!

the recent trend of 'reading while lounging' is gaining attention.
Today, I will introduce you to two representative cultural spaces in Busan
where you can enjoy a peaceful retreat and cultural experiences at the same time.

Unique Libraries in Busan
1. Busan Cinema Center Library
First up is the 'Busan Cinema Center Library,' located in the Double Cone building,
which is the heart of Centum City and a symbol of Busan's film culture.
This library houses a systematic collection of film-related books,
screenplays, magazines, and audiovisual materials that are hard to find in regular libraries.
While it is a quiet space for reading selected film-related books,
it also offers a complex cultural experience with various visual and auditory materials.
All books and materials are for in-library use only,
but you can watch up to two DVD films for free in the multimedia room each day.
Additionally, there is a corner for enjoying original soundtrack LPs,
providing a deeper and unique experience!
In July, you can also experience various planned programs and educational courses.

2. Bukdoochilseong Library
The second place to visit is the 'Bukdoochilseong Library,'
a privately established cultural space located near Busan Station in the North Port redevelopment area.
This library was created with the intention of giving back to the community,
featuring unique star-themed interior design and an open atmosphere for a comfortable retreat.
You can find the library on the 1st floor of the Hyupsung Marina G7 Building.
If you're using public transport, it's a convenient 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Busan Station.
It’s a great spot to stop by before your train ride or at the start and end of your Busan trip!
The library features a large 'staircase bookshelf and seating area,'
which is a highlight of the space. Sitting on the staircase allows you to immerse yourself in reading while enjoying the open feel.
In addition to reading spaces, it also displays and sells various Busan tourism goods,
making it a perfect spot for picking up small souvenirs.
During the summer vacation period, beneficial educational programs for children are available,
making it a popular destination for families.
