Community Support Initiative for Seniors

The Sinui-myeon Community Support Council
(Chairman Park Jin-ho)
held a Samgyetang and watermelon sharing event
on July 14th, coinciding with the start of the summer heat.
The event took place at local senior centers
to support the elderly in having a healthy summer.
This initiative was organized to help
revitalize seniors who may feel fatigued
due to the ongoing heatwave and rainy season.
Members of the Community Support Council
personally visited 15 senior centers
to deliver nourishing Samgyetang and refreshing watermelon,
while also providing guidance on heatwave safety measures.
One senior expressed gratitude, saying,
"I have been feeling weak from the heat,
but receiving Samgyetang and watermelon directly
is a great source of strength for me."
The Sinui-myeon Community Support Council
conducts various sharing activities every year
during holidays and traditional feast days
to support vulnerable groups and seniors.
They are committed to creating a warm community culture
as a reliable welfare safety net for the community.
A little attention and sharing can mean a lot
to our seniors.
Sinan County will continue
to implement various welfare projects and sharing activities
to create a community where everyone is healthy and happy.
