대한민국 강원특별자치도 고성군 죽왕면 삼포해변길 9 KR

Hello everyone!! This is Lim, from the Gangwon Tourism Foundation.
How have you all been?
Today, I have some special news!
Do you know what day May 31st is?
It's Sea Day!!
Sea Day: A commemorative day established to raise awareness of the importance and significance of marine-related industries and to recognize the efforts of those involved.
To commemorate Sea Day,
I'd like to introduce the Gangwon Tourism Foundation's Marine Tourism Center!
A place dedicated solely to Gangwon marine tourism!
✨It's the "Marine Tourism Center"! ✨
Located in Jumunjin-eup, Gangneung-si,
the Marine Tourism Center was established to revitalize the local economy through marine tourism and
to promote marine leisure tourism in the East Sea region!
It officially started operations with an opening ceremony on October 23, 2024 (Wednesday)!
The Gangwon Tourism Foundation's 'Marine Tourism Center'
is located within the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province's 2nd Government Building!
So, what kind of work has the Marine Tourism Center been doing?
Let's find out!
1. Marine Resource Tourism Products
Sports and healing events against the backdrop of the sea
are fun and enjoyable just to imagine!
Since last year, the Marine Tourism Center has been
hosting various experience events
against the backdrop of the East Sea's beaches!
In addition, we are actively developing and operating tourism products
using marine resources.
2. Global Cruise Ship Arrival Event
On April 19, 2025, the large cruise ship
'Noordam' docked in Sokcho!
It is a large cruise ship with a total tonnage of 82,318 tons,
and approximately 2,500 passengers and crew members visited Sokcho!
We operated traditional performances and experience programs
to welcome cruise passengers and expand local experiences!
We will continue to attract cruise ships in the future
to revitalize local tourism and the economy!
3. Marine Tourism Content Contest
Focusing on the marine resources of 6 cities and counties in the East Sea region,
we held a contest as an opportunity to rediscover the charm of marine resources and promote them widely throughout the country
through content utilizing hidden marine tourism resources and popular attractions!
So far, we've learned about the Marine Tourism Center!
In addition to the representative projects I've introduced,
there are many other projects in the works!
In the future, the Foundation and the Marine Tourism Center will
continue to work hard to develop marine tourism content and revitalize the local economy!!
Then, see you next time!
Bye~!!!
