To the shining winning families of the 'Carbon Neutral Family Golden Bell'! Thank you for illuminating the future of Dangjin City!

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1 PM, I attended the Carbon Neutral Family Golden Bell event held at the Dangjin Daedeok Elementary School auditorium. This event was designed for families to participate together.

Families gathered to study carbon neutrality together, and the atmosphere was filled with anticipation as everyone wondered who would ring the Golden Bell. Registration was on a first-come, first-served basis, so we participated with excitement and anticipation.

As soon as we entered the venue, we felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the entrance, families were greeted with enthusiasm, and the supportive environment made our children feel more excited than nervous.

Family entry was completed by 12:40 PM, and we took photos at the photo zone. Parents diligently engaged in last-minute studying, while the children colored traditional lucky bags and wrote down their family's carbon-neutral pledges to put in the mailbox.

The Mayor of Dangjin, the Center Director, and the Chairman emphasized the importance of carbon neutrality to all Dangjin citizens, not just the families attending the 'Carbon Neutral Family Golden Bell' event, and delivered heartfelt congratulatory remarks.

Dangjin Mayor Oh Seong-hwan reiterated through his congratulatory speech that carbon neutrality is not just an environmental policy but an essential task for our children and future generations.

He mentioned that this event, where families come together to learn about and practice environmental issues in a fun way, will be a valuable stepping stone for Dangjin City to move towards becoming a sustainable city. He also urged that the small actions of each citizen can come together to create big changes.

Han Jeong-soo, Director of the Carbon Neutral Support Center, opened the ceremony by encouraging the passion of the families participating in the event and expressed his hope that the Golden Bell would further spread awareness of carbon neutrality.

The Center Director also stated that Dangjin City is taking the lead in helping the local community grow into a carbon-neutral leading city through systematic support and education.

Seo Young-hoon, Chairman of the City Council, as a representative of the citizens, promised that the Dangjin City Council would strongly support carbon-neutral policies and continue to strive for practical results. He also conveyed a warm message of encouragement, asking families and citizens alike to become the main agents in protecting the environment.

Overall, the three speakers' congratulatory speeches contained a common message that it is most important for families and citizens to take an interest in environmental issues and take action together.

It was evident that this event was more than just a quiz competition; it was a meaningful occasion where we could feel Dangjin City's heart in moving forward hand-in-hand with all citizens, beyond the regional level, for carbon neutrality.

The questions were selected from 120 expected questions about carbon neutrality and environmental protection. The difficulty level was appropriate, allowing everyone from children to adults to put their heads together and solve them together.

Throughout the problem-solving process, we felt like our family was united as one, and I couldn't help but smile at the sight of my children seriously tackling the questions.

The FUN time and photo zone events in between were also really fun. Instead of just focusing on solving problems, we made memories as a family, and the event itself flowed like a festival, so there was no time to be bored until the end.

Thanks to the hosts' witty humor and friendly demeanor, the tension was relieved, and the fun was doubled.

While the scores were being tallied, we watched the winning entries from the short-form contest held by the Dangjin City Carbon Neutrality Center, and an event was held to give gifts to the SNS winning entries through the hashtag on the day.

Our family only received the participation award this time, but we usually don't have much time to focus together because we are busy, but this time was a valuable opportunity to increase family conversations and naturally think about carbon neutrality.

More than anything, I could strongly feel Dangjin City's sincerity in spreading carbon neutrality not just as a simple policy but as a practice in life, to local communities and families.

Watching those who received awards, I realized that they are living examples of bringing Dangjin City's carbon-neutral goals into the lives of citizens, and they have become beacons of hope that lead positive changes in our society.

We sincerely ask that you continue to join us on Dangjin City's carbon-neutral journey with a warm heart that cares for the environment.

Your continued interest and practice will make Dangjin a better place to live and, furthermore, will be a great force in protecting our planet. Once again, we extend our unwavering congratulations to all the winning families.
