May brings a vibrant green to the mountains and fields, making it the perfect season to escape into nature.

I recently visited the unique canoeing experience at Jangja Wetland in Chungju.

Reservations are required through Naver, so please check the available times and apply in advance.

Experiences are offered four times a day: 9 AM, 11 AM, 2 PM, and 4 PM.

With excitement from the morning, I headed to the Jangja Wetland Canoe Experience, which operates alongside the Mokgye Solbat Camping Ground.

On the day of my visit, the Chungju RV Show was taking place, filling the campground with various RVs and tents, along with experience booths and a bouncy playground for kids.

Families camping there were enjoying their time comfortably.

The canoe experience is located deep inside the camping area.

First, you fill out a consent form for the canoe experience and listen to the day's schedule and safety precautions.

Then, we board a vehicle provided by the company to head to the actual experience site.

Canoe paddling training follows, which you must pay close attention to.

If you are not grasping the technique, instructors may stop the canoeing and bring you back.

Escaping the noise of the city, the enchanting willow tunnel of Jangja Wetland felt like a scene from a movie.

The whispers of the waves and the ripples felt when paddling enveloped me, creating a sense of adventure as if navigating through an unknown world.

After about 40 minutes of canoeing, we returned to the Mokgye Camping Ground where we started, and the journey concluded.

Leaving the bustling city behind, the sound of water with each paddle stroke and the conversations shared with my canoe partner created a serene moment.

The collaboration and rhythm between the front and back paddlers were crucial, fostering communication and giving us the feeling of being in our own little world.

How about putting down your smartphone this weekend and picking up a paddle to fill Jangja Wetland with laughter from your family?

The canoeing experience was more than just an activity; it became a cherished memory.
