It's been three years since my last blog post! Can you guess who's back?

That's right... it's the Unemployed Edition ver. 2025! (Applause, anyone?)

This time, I visited Sejong for the very first time in my life!

I suddenly caught the “travel bug ✨” and hastily made plans, resulting in...

...a **late departure** after 3 PM.

Only an unemployed person could leave that late...

My destination was none other than…

Precious memories

I heard it's incredibly vast?

Supposedly, it's around 240,000 square meters... I have no idea how big that is.

The conclusion? It's simply huge!

Very, very huge!

My stamina decreased proportionally to its size!!! 😂

Looking back at the photos I took, they are a total mess.

They are mostly random shots without focus…

Yes, the conclusion is I don’t have decent photos.

<Photos to be added soon>

"80 Years of Liberation, Hibiscus Blooming Together"

So, I completed a survey and received a rose of Sharon (mugunghwa) seedling as a gift! ◡̈

The National Sejong Arboretum's 'Van Gogh in the Summer Night' 🎨

Great Picture

It just so happened that this special exhibition was on when I visited.

Even the name evokes a sense of emotion ✨

The exhibition runs from July 26th to November 2nd!

It's located in the Mediterranean Greenhouse within the Four Seasons Exhibition Greenhouse in the arboretum!!

It features four of Van Gogh's iconic masterpieces, recreated as gardens.

Sunflowers 🌻

The Starry Night ✨

Café Terrace at Night ☕️

Bedroom in Arles 🛏️

These four themes were beautifully displayed.

Because the plants from the paintings were actually moved into the garden,

it felt like I had stepped right into the artwork.

It felt nice taking an art trip while being unemployed.

Just a heads-up: It's not just real flowers!

There are artificial flowers displayed as well!

So, it's a harmony of real and artificial flowers?

It's worth visiting at least once, especially when there's a special exhibition/event!

I couldn't see everything because I arrived late, so I plan to visit again soon!

Since I'm unemployed, I have plenty of time... I'll enjoy it more leisurely next time 😎

Does anyone know this place ~~~?

It was past 7:30 PM,

and when I looked for a restaurant for dinner...

Most places were either closed or had run out of ingredients,

so there was nowhere to eat 😥

An unemployed person in a hungry situation.

Is this the synergy of hunger × no choices?

After searching for a while, I called Seongsanok and they said,

"Yes, you need to arrive by 8:30 PM. Is that possible?"

Yesyesyesyesyes!

I had to make it no matter what 😂

Korean Beef Tartare Bibimbap Set - 15,000 won

Peaceful Landscape

Wow, I wasn't expecting much, but it was incredibly delicious!!

The texture was so good because of the *gungchae* (celtuce) in the bibimbap

The taste was fantastic ~~~~~~~~~👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I'd go to Sejong again just to eat this!!

Anyway, after looking around, eating, and heading home,

it was eleven o'clock at night.

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
