A Weekend Getaway to Jinju Jinyangho Lake: Sunset Views from the Deck Road

Jinyangho Lake Weekend Getaway
Sunset Observation Deck Road: A Famous Sunset Spot
The Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road, a famous attraction in Jinju, begins at the public parking lot in front of Uyakjeong Pavilion in Jinyangho Lake Park. As soon as you get out of the car, you'll encounter a deck stairway that cuts through a long pine forest. The harmony of the sunset-lit wooden railings and the vertically stretching trees transforms the entrance of the deck road into a picturesque scene.
The Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road is a lakeside forest path that organically connects major attractions within Jinyangho Park, and it's a particularly great walking course for enjoying the golden scenery during sunset.
The section of the Sunset Observation Deck Road that leads into the forest past the observatory is a winding lakeside path, perfect for walking during sunset. I also took a walk there during sunset this time.
As I started walking along the deck road, the sun was slowly beginning to set over the mountain ridge. Warm rays of light seeping through the trees were coloring the forest, and far away, the sun's reflection stretched long across the lake.
Acheon Book Cafe is located at the beginning of the Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road. The cafe was glowing subtly with golden light due to the sunset. The sunlight breaking on the glass railings mingled with the tranquil lake, creating a soft silhouette, and the sign on the exterior wall of the book cafe glowed warmly, as if harmonizing with the sunset.
In the gap opened through the forest, the sunlight of dusk gently landed on the water of Jinyangho Lake, making the entire lake shine like a golden carpet.
After passing Acheon Book Cafe, a dense forest appears, with the Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road continuing through it. Towering pine and cedar trees surround both sides like a folding screen, and the evening sunlight was seeping into each tree trunk, drawing a red outline.
The wind blowing through the trees, the sound of the deck's wood slightly swaying with each step, and the sounds of birds and wind fill this scene.
While walking along the forest, the view suddenly opens up between the trees, and you can encounter the waves of Jinyangho Lake gently holding the sunset light. The lake after sunset doesn't just get dark, but it seems that tranquility settles in the place where the colors have disappeared.
The total planned length of the Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road is about 2.2km. Most of the sections are barrier-free deck paths with gentle slopes, making it accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
While walking along the deck road, you'll eventually reach a T-shaped intersection where the Mulbit Gallery is visible below and the Jinyangho Observatory continues above.
At night, the LED lights that are subtly lit in each circular structure create a dreamy atmosphere against the backdrop of the forest, and the color changes slightly with each step up the stairs.
As I re-entered the forest along the stairs, the scenery that unfolded before my eyes was subtle and serene, like a landscape painting. I enjoyed the scenery where the silhouettes of the mountains, the colors of the sky, and the sparkling ripples of the lake in the distance overlapped in layers through the dense trees.
As I walked, the sunset was slowly seeping over the mountain ridge. I captured the dimly colored mountain outlines, the sparkling lake, and the clouds softly covering it beyond the trees.
This section is a border area where Jinyangho Park and the Yangmasan Mountain range meet. It is a forest path connected to the Yangmasan Mountain Trail and includes some protected areas. Dense coniferous forests surround the road, and the gentle slopes and curved decks continue as if swimming through the forest.
On the narrow deck section heading towards Yangmasan Mountain, you will naturally make eye contact with citizens coming from the opposite direction. Their faces, returning from seeing the sunset, are filled with peaceful smiles.
The waves, sunset, and forest of Jinyangho Lake create a landscape painting. The sunset is now almost gone, and the sky is filled with colors that spread like brush strokes, and the lake quietly embraces that color.
After walking along the deck for a long time, I finally arrived at the observatory. The view opens up beyond the wooden fence, and the waves of Jinyangho Lake and the mountain ridges unfold in layers. Not even a single gust of wind passes by without a sound. I sit on a bench, catch my breath, and let myself go in the scenery before my eyes for a moment.
The sun slowly disappears over the mountain, and the sunset colors its place. The busyness of everyday life and the noise of the city seem to be forgotten at this moment.
The sunset disappears, and darkness slowly descends as I slowly return. Walking along the deck road of Jinyangho Lake, I felt somehow refreshed.
This photo, created by the fading sun, seemed to show a lyrical and calm landscape painting, as if nature had dropped ink that had permeated the tip of a brush.
The Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road is a path where people of all ages can walk comfortably, and it paints an emotional landscape created by the forest, lake, and sunset.
Especially, the deck road around sunset is a breathtaking scenery where Jinyangho Lake, mountain ridges, and the sky overlap, so wouldn't it be worth calling it 'Jinju's Sunset Restaurant'?
Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and soothe your mind by walking under the quiet forest and golden sunset. The Jinyangho Sunset Observation Deck Road will welcome you with unchanging peace and beauty whenever you visit.
