The annual Kimchi Festival represents Korea's autumn festivals, with a steady increase in visitors.
The Goesan Kimchi Festival is a multi-purpose festival that incorporates eco-friendliness, participation, regional connectivity, and tourism synergy.
The festival, which started on November 6th at the Goesan Organic Expo Plaza in Chungbuk, modernized kimchi culture and created a camping vibe by offering an outdoor modal campfire experience that various age groups could enjoy together.
In particular, "One-Stop Kimchi Making" and "Drive-Thru Kimchi" were so popular that pre-registration closed early.
Visitors who missed the pre-registration could purchase salted cabbage at a low price through on-site kimchi-making experiences. In addition, on-site participants were given Goesan Love Gift Certificates worth 5,000 won per 10kg of salted cabbage.
The 2025 Kimchi Festival has extended its duration from the existing three days to four days, making the programs more diverse.
