Day 1: Andong City & Traditional Village Focus
1. Hahoe Village
A representative traditional Korean village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The abundance of thatched-roof houses and historic residences gives you the feeling of stepping back into the Joseon Dynasty.

Location: Pungcheon-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Hahoe Byeolsingut Mask Dance - Performances are held on specific days and times (free admission). Be sure to check the performance schedule when visiting the village.

Historical Significance
Established in 1574 by disciples and scholars after the death of Toegye Yi Hwang (1501-1570), a representative Neo-Confucian scholar of the mid-Joseon period, based on Dosan Seodang, a private academy where he taught.
It was the center of Confucian education and scholarship during the Joseon Dynasty and greatly influenced the development of Neo-Confucianism in later generations.
Currently, it is designated and preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Seowon, Korean Neo-Confucian Academies, inscribed in 2019).

2. Andong Traditional Culture Contents Museum
A place where you can experience Andong's Confucian culture and various traditional content in an interesting way.

3. Imcheonggak (Near Andong Station, easy vehicle access)
