A Summer Stroll in Geochang Changpo Garden: A Healing Journey with Lotus Flowers

A perfect summer walk with family at Geochang Changpo Garden,
Welcomed by blooming lotus flowers.
In this hot summer season,
I sought a refreshing place to stroll in nature and heard that the lotus flowers at Geochang Changpo Garden were beautifully blooming, so I decided to visit.
To enjoy the lotus flowers, simply pass the ticket booth and take the path to the right.
As you walk slowly along the trail,
you will encounter stunning lotus flowers in areas 8, 9, and 10.
During my visit on July 11, the lotus flowers in area 8 had not yet bloomed.
This garden is a collaborative effort with Semiwon in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province,
where they have transplanted red and white lotuses as well as Victoria water lilies.
In the lush summer, the beauty of lotus flowers encountered in Geochang is captivating.
Upon entering the lotus area,
the sight of lotus flowers blooming on the expansive pond immediately caught my eye.
While walking along the trail, I came across a family of ducks slowly moving to another pond.
The sight of ducklings following their mother was incredibly peaceful and heartwarming.
As I continued towards the wetland area,
the view expanded, revealing an endless field of lotus flowers.
The lotus flowers, with their subtle beauty, harmonized beautifully with the summer landscape,
making me feel at ease throughout the walk.
If you have enjoyed the lotus flowers up close,
consider climbing up to the Heaven's Stairway observatory.
As you reach the observatory,
the expansive lotus fields come into view.
While beautiful in photos,
the real scenery is even more refreshing.
The greatest charm of Changpo Garden is its accessible walking trails.
Walking slowly along the flat paths,
you will naturally encounter ponds adorned with blooming lotus flowers.
The lotus flowers at Geochang Changpo Garden often look more vibrant in the morning,
so I recommend visiting during the morning hours.
When the sun is not too strong, it is more pleasant to stroll,
and the colors of the lotus flowers are more vivid.
There are benches and resting spots along the walking route,
making it a great place to take a break and enjoy nature.
On days when you want to feel relaxed in nature, Geochang Changpo Garden is the place to be.
In this hot season,
taking a slow walk in nearby nature feels especially precious.
The lotus garden I explored this time
was a comfortable space to feel the changing seasons up close.
If you're planning to travel to Geochang,
consider adding Changpo Garden to your itinerary.
During the blooming season, you can enjoy even more beautiful scenery,
and combining it with nearby attractions makes for a fulfilling day trip.
If you want to feel close to nature in the heart of summer,
take a slow stroll along the paths of Geochang Changpo Garden with your family.
