A Summer of Discoveries and Happiness in Korea

Hapdeokje Reservoir Park Lotus Flowers
I used to not understand people who went on vacation during the sweltering summer, but this year, I finally took a trip myself.
I visited Dangjin to see the lotus flowers that begin to bloom when the humidity rises. From the lotus blossoms filling Hapdeokje Reservoir Park to those at the agricultural theme park, I saw so many that they’re still vivid in my memory.

On another day, I strolled through the pine forest path at Bangameori Beach in Daebudo. From the Ant Waist Arch Bridge, I gazed at the distant Yeongheung Bridge. I even hiked to Gubongdo Observatory, famous for its beautiful sunset, sweating all the way. Midway, I wondered if I was pushing myself too hard, but after sweating it out and sitting at a café looking out at the sea, a wave of happiness washed over me.

I also recall "Embracing the Sunset," a sculpture that embodies the beautiful sunset reflecting on the waves.

Tando Tidal Path to Nueseom Lighthouse Observatory
When I walked to the Nueseom Lighthouse Observatory along the Tando tidal path, I sweated under the pouring sun, but I can't forget the exhilaration I felt as I walked confidently, feeling like the protagonist of a movie scene.

Mungyeong Bongmyeongsan Suspension Bridge Trail
Walking along the Mungyeong Saejae forest trail, the sound of the valley stream alone was enough to heal me. The Bibongsan Suspension Bridge, where I felt like I was walking above cotton candy clouds as I climbed the steep stairs, was also impressive.

I only knew Jincheon for its Nongdari Bridge, but I never imagined the Choronggil Dulleongil trail along the Chopyeong Lake Reservoir would be so beautiful.

This summer, I traveled a lot, felt a lot, and was very happy.
