A Spontaneous Seoul Getaway: Food, Fun, and Salted Bread!

A spur-of-the-moment trip to Seoul!
Starting the journey on the KTX with some snacks ~
It's been a while since I've been to Myeongdong, and finally trying Myeongdong Kyoja for the first time!
The moment I took a bite of the *kal-guksu* (noodle soup), there was a surprising hint of *jjajangmyeon* (black bean noodles) lol.
Perfect menu choice for a rainy day! It was crowded, but the place is large with two floors, and the turnover is quick, so we were out in no time.
Actually, this sudden Seoul trip was planned because I had some business at the department store that day.
Went to Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch and tried Oakberry for the first time.
Of course, had to go with the original first! It was delicious, but pricey...
Then suddenly moved to Wangsimni.
Debated between going to Tangko or this place...
Yogurt Galmaegi (skirt meat)?! I was curious, so we came here.
With a refreshing *somaek* (soju and beer mix)!
It's skirt meat with yogurt and scallions inserted, so the visual is unfamiliar.
When you grill it, the meat shrinks and the scallions stick out lol.
The soup and steamed egg that came as a side dish.
The complete set.
It's difficult to cut because the scallions keep trying to fall out, but...
I think I'm cutting it pretty well ㅎㅎ
Giving up the beer to my friend who's a lightweight, and I switched to soju.
I was full, but I ordered ramen as if possessed after seeing the visuals.
It was delicious...
The next day, went to Seongsu and...
Assembled and gifted pens one by one.
Then off to Betong for *sogeumppang* (salt bread)!
I thought the wait would be long, but the takeout line was short, so I think I got in almost immediately.
The chocolate *sogeumppang* sold out right in front of me, but thankfully they restocked it right away.
I only got this much, but I regretted it immediately after taking a bite...
Should have gotten more ㅠ
How can you resist this egg tart visual while walking..?
Ordered one for takeout to eat while walking.
Tada! It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's really huge! Bigger than my fist.
That salt is the key.
Zesty Saloon, famous for Lee Young-ja's shrimp burger restaurant.
Going to pack it up and have a picnic~~
Before going to Seoul Forest, we stopped by a convenience store and rented a picnic mat.
If you don't have a picnic on a day like this? It's a crime!!
April when the tulips were in bloom.
The shrimp patty was more delicious!
Took out and ate one of the Betong salt breads.
Salt bread that I fell in love with after one bite...
This is the best salt bread I've ever had. Butter oozing out. Different textures depending on the part.
And now back to reality...
Booked the remaining seats, and this seat is really good.
No one next to me, wide spacing between the table and chair, so I came very comfortably.
