A Relaxing Getaway to Gapyeong: Food, Scenery, and Rest

Forgive this lazy blogger for finally posting about my trip to Gapyeong back in May!
We were trying to figure out where to go for the holiday, and Bao suggested a trip to a nearby area. So, we chose Gapyeong! We literally booked the accommodation and left without any other plans. LOL
Can you believe it took us over two and a half hours to get there because of traffic? Where was everyone going?
Our first meal in Gapyeong was at Cheongpyeong Doljjajang. I was selected through an online event to visit, but the wait was insane! Apparently, it's one of the top 10 Doljjajang places in the country. We waited for over an hour and finally got in. It was delicious, though! If you plan to visit, be sure to use the Tableing app to join the queue remotely.

Before heading to our accommodation, we stopped by Jaraseom Island to digest a little. But there wasn't much to do there. We just took a walk for about an hour and left. The weather was gloomy, so the scenery wasn't very pretty either. Such a shame...

We arrived at our accommodation! I found it while searching for pensions in Gapyeong. Aside from being a bit dated, I loved it! First of all, the interior was simple and clean, which was great!
There's also a valley just 30 seconds away from the pension! The weather wasn't ideal at the time, so we didn't go in. But it would be great for playing in the water during the summer.

This cute dog was guarding the accommodation. It's a large breed, but it's very gentle.
After relaxing at the accommodation for a bit, we got ready for dinner! The highlight of staying at a pension is the barbecue, right? Bao grilled the meat, and I diligently set everything up.

The meat was so delicious! And the wine we bought was also very tasty. This is why we come to pensions!
Bao made snacks for our second round of eating and drinking at the accommodation. We bought so many snacks, but we were so full that we couldn't finish them. We brought them all back. LOL ㅠㅠ I wanted to eat more, but I was too full. It's so sad...

Why is it already the next morning? Time goes by so quickly when you're on a trip.
Originally, we planned to have *dakgalbi* (spicy stir-fried chicken) since we were in Gapyeong! But we were both so full from eating too much the day before that we weren't hungry. So, we went to eat noodles instead. But this place was seriously amazing! I haven't posted about it yet, but I'll upload it soon. Please try it!

After our meal, we visited Golden Tree to satisfy our sugar cravings. I applied for their event without much expectation due to the high competition, but I got selected and happily rushed over there! LOL

Everyone, this place has an amazing view! It's great for relaxing amidst the greenery, and you can take a million Instagram-worthy photos.

We spent two hours at the café and then headed back to Seoul for *chimaek* (chicken and beer)????
Unlike other trips, we didn't go around visiting a lot of places. But it was a healing trip to Gapyeong where we ate delicious food and rested at our accommodation???? Sometimes, trips like this are great!
