A Perfect Day Trip to Chuncheon: Food, Scenery, and Healing

Chuncheon is the perfect place to heal and recharge, even without a long journey!
Just an hour's ride on the ITX train from Yongsan, Chuncheon is filled with romantic scenery and delicious food.
I'm excited to share my fulfilling day trip itinerary that combines gourmet delights and relaxation, all from my own experience.
Before you leave, there's a waffle stand on the platform where you catch the ITX train at Yongsan Station.
Their waffles are a hidden gem!!
Highly recommended!
Arrived at Chuncheon Station!
The first stop is in Myeongdong, which is within walking distance.
First Stop: The Master of Chinese Cold Noodles, 'Hoeyeongnu'

As soon as I got off at Chuncheon Station, the first place I ran to was Hoeyeongnu.
It's famous as a restaurant featured on <Master of Living>, and their Chinese cold noodles, a summer delicacy, are especially amazing.
Closed on Tuesdays
Hours: 11:00 - 22:00
Break Time: 16:00 - 17:00
The combination of the nutty peanut sauce and the cool broth is fantastic, making it the perfect menu for a hot summer day.
If you eat it when you have no appetite, it has a magical taste that restores your lost appetite.
I've tried it in Seoul and even in Incheon's Chinatown, but this place is the best for Chinese cold noodles!
My favorite Chinese cold noodles! It was the perfect start to my Chuncheon trip.
Designated as a Chinese Cold Noodle 맛집!
Second Stop: Samaksan Lake Cable Car and Sunset Glow

After a satisfying meal, I went to ride the Samaksan Lake Cable Car to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Chuncheon.
As I rode up the cable car, which boasts the longest length in Korea, I could see Uiamho Lake and the city of Chuncheon spreading out below me at a glance.
I recommend booking in advance on Naver!
You can buy tickets cheaper.
I especially recommend riding it at sunset. The sky and lake, slowly turning red, create a picturesque view.
Take unforgettable photos while enjoying the beautiful sunset from the Skywalk Observatory at the top.
Third Stop: Unique Starbucks with Media Art

After getting off the cable car, I stopped by the Starbucks right in front of me.
This isn't just any Starbucks. Media art fills the walls, giving you the feeling of being in a gallery.
Enjoying a warm cup of coffee while admiring the artworks, I felt like the fatigue from the trip was relieved.
It was a place that felt even more special because it wasn't just your ordinary Starbucks.
Last Stop: Crispy Chicken 맛집, Pungmul Market 'Bungeo-ne Chicken'

I decided to end my trip by enjoying the night view of Chuncheon and eating delicious late-night snacks.
I moved to Pungmul Market near Namchuncheon Station and found Bungeo-ne Chicken.
Hours: 18:00 - 23:00
Weekends: 17:00 - 23:00
The cozy atmosphere of enjoying 'Chimaek' (chicken and beer) in the outdoor seating area in the market alley was great.
Taking a sip of cool beer with a bite of freshly fried crispy chicken made all the fatigue of the day fly away.
The perfect chicken, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, was the perfect end to my Chuncheon trip.
A day trip to Chuncheon, where I ate, saw, and enjoyed! Why don't you follow my recommended course and fall in love with the charm of Chuncheon?
