A Night to Remember at Geumdang Village Night Festival

We left after my Friday classes for the Geumdang Village Night Festival (4 PM - 9 PM). I was worried that arriving around 7 PM would be too late, but it was totally worth it! I definitely want to come back next year.
[Gyeongbuk Yecheon] Geumdang Night Festival - September 19, 2025
We got a little lost and ended up parking on the shoulder of the road and walking a bit. Apparently, parking at Yongmun Middle School is closer.
Ugh...
It started raining during the stamp tour... So we couldn't participate in many other events!
But the stamp tour was so well-done! The quality was really great.
It was an interactive experience with a storyline!
It wasn't just arriving and getting a stamp. At each location, there were actors (like you'd see at a folk village) giving out quests (but they still gave you the stamp even if you didn't complete it!).
If you succeeded, you got a fan as a prize!

The quests seemed easy enough for anyone over 4 years old. There was also a cypress wood sand playground.
And all the lanterns at night were so beautiful!
Once you collected all the stamps, you could complete a survey and spin a roulette wheel to win a mug, towel, or honey. We both got hand towels! We ended up using them to cover our heads because of the rain, haha.
Apparently, they print a photo of your choice on the mugs!

There was also a free Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) experience.
And a good number of flea market vendors with reasonable prices! The food trucks were a bit pricey, but the food in the tents was mostly inexpensive.
Even though we couldn't enjoy everything fully because of the rain, it was still very satisfying.

Ah, the Geumdang Tavern was so popular we couldn't get a seat. They were sold out of food around 7:30 PM... We were planning to eat there after finishing the stamp tour, but we missed out... The prices were reasonable too. Next year!
Since it was evening, I couldn't take great photos, but we had a lot of fun. Highly recommended!
