Using precious vacation days for a last-minute babymoon trip (kinda?!) with my friends!

On the way to Gangneung, we stopped by Hyuhyuaam Temple in Yangyang.

It was incredibly hot, but...

Hyuhyuaam Temple, located where you can see the ocean under the brilliant sunshine, was dazzling.

The Buddha statue was also unbelievably huge.

It was too hot to take off our shoes and bow, but

I could feel the grandness of the place.

I never knew the East Sea was this clear!

It felt like a place where a mermaid might appear.

There was also a spot to release fish, and quite a few fun things to see.

Hoping for a healthy baby girl, like a chubby rice cake! hahaha~~~

Just looking at the ocean with my friends at this hour on a weekday is pure happiness.

Enjoying the sights happily in a beautiful place.

We took lots of group photos, so happy.

Moved to Gangneung for lunch!

The famous Donghwa Tofu Restaurant had about 150 teams waiting,

But everyone was too hungry to wait,

So we went to Nasangmyeong Chodang Tofu next door.

Here are the prices:

We ordered various dishes like Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew Bibimbap, Noodle Soup, and rice dishes.

Each ₩14,000

Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew with rice

환상적인 장면

The soup was red, but the taste was bland.

I wondered if the tofu was reducing the seasoning, but

According to my friends who have experienced delicious Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew restaurants,

This place was a bit bland compared to other places.

Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew Noodle Soup

행복한 시간

A friend who finds even Shin Ramyun spicy ate it, and

Found it very spicy hahaha

It seemed a bit spicier than the rice version?!

특별한 순간

Leaving behind the disappointing Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew,

We went to Seoul Yanggye to buy some sweet and sour chicken to eat at our accommodations.

Here's the menu:

There weren't many people, so I was like, "Oh?" but

It was a system where you pre-order and pick it up about 2 hours later hahaha

We ordered a half-and-half of sweet and sour chicken (spicy, garlic soy sauce) for ₩26,000

We ate it at our accommodation and it was delicious even when it was cold~

밝은 미래

While waiting for the sweet and sour chicken,

We went to 346 Coffee Story nearby.

They had lots of baked goods,

And the entire building was a cafe,

So there was plenty of space.

Enjoying the ocean view from the 3rd floor~

I thought it would be hot, but the cafe terrace in the shade was very windy,

So it was actually cool.

Happily spacing out for about an hour.

I spaced out to my heart's content hahaha

값진 경험

A happy time.

We took pictures too haha

On the way to pick up the sweet and sour chicken, we stopped by the souvenir shop, YuriAl Yuhee.

They had lots of cute and pretty things, so everyone bought a souvenir.

Yujeong bought me my magnet hahaha

And then we moved to our Airbnb accommodation~~~

Confines Ocean Suite Hotel

It was nice that there were 3 rooms and all of them had beds.

My friends were very considerate,

And they gave me this whole room ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

But I was scared to sleep alone, so I slept with Yujeong haha

It was a great room with a large, separate bathroom.

신비로운 모습

Especially loved the terrace with the ocean view.

There's also a convenience store on the first floor with a cat.

And my friends surprised me with a baby shower hahaha

I really didn't expect it at all,

They even prepared a topper with my baby's nickname on it, so touching.

They took so many pictures too hahaha

감동적인 장면

Soooo happy.

I love you, guys...!

They even gifted me nine pretty bibs ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

They were all so pretty with colors perfect for a girl.

Dodo is so lucky to have so many pretty and capable aunts.

Since it was the first time we met in a while,

We shared food that each of us bought from our trips to Bohol, Cebu, and Jeju~

Nothing from Vietnam hahaha

Got a Labubu that Euna gave me~

We watched the sunset and talked about this and that,

So we couldn't fall asleep until dawn.

*Ming's parents live in Gangneung, and they came nearby and threw in a watermelon they grew themselves and left.

평화로운 풍경

*After the baby shower, taking pictures, eating, and showering,

my friends wrote letters on the pretty postcards they bought from the souvenir shop earlier and gave them to me.

I was so touched that I teared up, but I was too tired to actually cry hahaha

It was such a happy and unforgettable first day of my Gangneung trip.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
