Il-Dang-Baek Budae-jjigae: A Must-Try Takeout Restaurant in Hayang, Gyeongsan!

Hi, this is Yate!
These days, there are many pre-packaged meals you can easily boil at home. But if you want a truly satisfying meal, nothing beats Budae-jjigae (Korean Army Stew).
Today, I'm introducing Il-Dang-Baek Budae-jjigae, a well-known takeout restaurant in Hayang, Gyeongsan.
Located in the heart of Hayang, it's easily accessible, and they even give you an extra serving for takeout orders, making it an incredible value for money. No wonder people call it a takeout gem in Hayang!

⚠️ Quick TIP!
You can briefly park in front of the store, but you might get a ticket if you park for more than 10 minutes. I recommend parking in a nearby public parking lot or quickly picking up your order.
This is a small but important tip, so be sure to keep it in mind!

???? Menu
Il-Dang-Baek Budae-jjigae has a simple menu, so you don't have to spend ages deciding.
• Il-Dang-Baek Budae-jjigae (₩10,000)
• Beef Brisket Budae-jjigae (₩13,000)
• Ham Bomb Budae-jjigae (₩13,000)
There are only 3 options, so it's easy to choose! Whether you want lots of meat or lots of ham, just pick your favorite!
You won't regret choosing any of them, so I highly recommend them all.

???? Takeout Review
This time, I ordered takeout. The container was packed with ham, sausage, tofu, mushrooms, beans, kimchi, green onions, and garlic. It looked so generous just by looking at it!
Thanks to the tips the owner gave me on how to cook it deliciously, I was able to enjoy it at home:
1. Add only half of the broth at first and bring to a boil.
2. Add ramen noodles when it starts to boil.
3. Add the remaining broth and boil for a bit longer.
Following this method made the broth much richer and brought out the flavor even more!

???? Perfect with Soju!
The rich broth and savory flavor of the ham and sausage in Budae-jjigae are literal soju (Korean liquor) thieves. With unlimited ramen refills, it's filling as a meal and perfect as a side dish to soju.
While I was eating, I couldn't help but think, "This place is truly a Hayang takeout gem."
I was especially impressed with the broth's flavor; it wasn't too salty and kept getting better and better. The ham and sausage didn't taste cheap. It was clear they used high-quality ingredients.
That's why the broth isn't heavy but clean and savory. It was perfect for enjoying with a glass of soju in the evening.
If you need a drink to cleanse your palate in between bites, I recommend Narangd Cider Zero, which is calorie-free.
It cuts through the greasiness and adds a refreshing touch, allowing you to enjoy the Budae-jjigae until the last bite.

???? Special Services & Benefits
• Kimchi Pancake & Fried Egg Self-Service Corner
• Barley Candy & Drink Self-Service Dessert
• Pork Bulgogi Side Dish Service when Presenting a Student ID (Nationwide Unique!)
• Guaranteed +1 Serving for Takeout Orders
With all these benefits, the value for money is undeniable, and you can feel the restaurant's philosophy of 'customers first'.
The generous portions and added services make it an incredible value. No wonder people say, "This place is truly a Hayang takeout gem."

???? Overall
Il-Dang-Baek Budae-jjigae was satisfying in every aspect: taste, portion size, price, and service.
I was able to enjoy the same taste at home as in the restaurant, and the extra services for takeout orders made it even more filling.
If you're looking for a delicious takeout restaurant in Gyeongsan/Hayang, don't hesitate to visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend this Hayang takeout restaurant.
