The Kimchi Chips that celebrities have been raving about! I've always been curious about them, and finally, I bought them at Costco during this week's promotion. Here's my honest review of the Da Dam Kimchi Chips from Costco, a snack recommended by actresses Cha Ye-ryun and Kim Nam-joo.

Costco Da Dam Kimchi Chips Review

Recommended Snack by Cha Ye-ryun & Kim Nam-joo

Costco Da Dam Kimchi Chips Price

40g*6 / ₩14,990 - ₩2,300 = ₩12,690

The Costco Da Dam Kimchi Chips (40g*6) are priced at ₩14,990, and I bought them for ₩12,690 with a ₩2,300 discount (until 2025/9/14).

Initially, I was hesitant to buy a large quantity at Costco, so I tried to order just one from Market Kurly, but it was ₩3,800 for one (40g) ????

Buying a box at Costco during the sale makes it much cheaper at ₩2,115 per bag (40g), so I decided to buy it at Costco. Now that I think about it, they're so delicious that you can finish them in no time, so six bags aren't really that much, haha.

Cha Ye-ryun and Kim Nam-joo also fell for Kimchi Chips!

Among the various celebrities who mentioned that Kimchi Chips are delicious, Cha Ye-ryun and Kim Nam-joo are representative examples. I couldn't help but be curious.

Costco Kimchi Chips: Features, Ingredients, and Calories

Kimchi Chips are a K-snack that lets you experience the crispy edges of kimchi pancakes. They are made using kimchi broth and Korean rice flour that has been fermented at a low temperature for over 500 hours.

Also, it is a kimchi snack that uses directly made kimchi, uses the method of preparing fried seaweed, and is characterized by implementing a familiar but special taste.

Kimchi Chips contain 43% kimchi broth and 31.5% rice flour, are gluten-free, and have 198kcal per bag (40g).

What do Costco Kimchi Chips taste like?

Opening the box revealed six individually packaged Kimchi Chips.

I opened one to taste it, and wow! I was surprised by how little there was. At about ₩2,000-₩3,000 per bag, it's not cheap, and there's so little in the bag that the resealable packaging feels a bit embarrassing.

(I would have been really shocked if I had bought them for ₩3,000+ at Market Kurly or Olive Young)

I put them on a plate without eating any, and this is exactly how much you get in one bag.

Precious Memory

And for the most important part, the taste! As described, it tastes just like the crispy edges of a kimchi pancake, with the unique savory flavor of kimchi, saltiness, nuttiness, and a crispy texture that is really attractive.

I understand why celebrities praised it so much. The taste is good, and I tried dipping it in mayonnaise, which is said to be delicious with cream cheese or mayonnaise dipping sauce, and the combination was really good.

Hopeful Tomorrow

It's definitely delicious as a snack, with beer, or with makgeolli. The taste and amount are such that you can finish it in no time once you open it, so I'll have to buy another box soon~

So far, I've introduced the discounted price of Costco Da Dam Kimchi Chips, my honest review, and why it's a recommended snack by Cha Ye-ryun and Kim Nam-joo. The amount is disappointing compared to the price, but it's a Costco snack that I'll repurchase because the ingredients are good and it tastes good. I hope this review was helpful for those who were curious about Kimchi Chips.
