Actress Kim Ji-won made a heartwarming surprise appearance as a 'surprise guest' at Song Joong-ki's fan meeting, showcasing their long-standing relationship.
On the 25th, at Song Joong-ki's fan meeting 'Stay Happy' held at Ewha Womans University Auditorium in Seoul, Kim Ji-won appeared on stage saying, "I just came as I pleased," causing fans to erupt in cheers and applause.
Song Joong-ki, with a surprised expression, asked, "Why are you here?" and Kim Ji-won replied, "I've been watching since you started tearing up while singing," bringing laughter to the audience.
Their relationship began in 2016 with the KBS drama 'Descendants of the Sun'. Since then, they have continued their unwavering friendship for 9 years, working together in tvN's 'Arthdal Chronicles' and 'Queen of Tears'.
At the fan meeting, Kim Ji-won shared Song Joong-ki's warm personality, saying, "Song Joong-ki is the type who doesn't show off. We don't contact each other often, but when I'm having a hard time, he always calls me first to ask if I'm okay."
She also praised Song Joong-ki as a 'loyal senior', saying, "He knew a lot of good restaurants during the filming of 'Arthdal Chronicles' and often bought meals for the staff."
Song Joong-ki responded, "Ji-won is a character that requires a lot of attention, so I sometimes contact her out of concern," expressing his sincere affection for his colleague.
In response to fans' requests to work together in future projects, he said, "We already did 'Queen of Tears', are we doing it again?" with a laugh, but added, "If Ji-won is okay with it, I want to work with her again.
