Explore Seoul with K-Pop Demon Hunters: Locations, Food, and More!

Samsung Electronics is offering a free 'Galaxy Theme' featuring a special theme and 10 wallpapers based on Netflix's popular animated movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters.
You can find popular characters like Huntrix, Sajaboyz, Rumi, Jinwoo, and Duffy. This theme can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store between August 13th and September 12th.
K-Pop Demon Hunters is projected to surpass 'Red Notice' and become Netflix's all-time most successful movie.
The theme song 'Golden' from the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has topped the US Billboard main singles chart.
Following its number one ranking on the UK Official Singles Chart, K-Pop Demon Hunters has achieved a rare feat by dominating both the UK and US charts, setting a remarkable record in the K-pop industry.
As Kim Gu, a Korean independence activist, said: "I want our country to be the most beautiful in the world. I don't want it to be the richest. The only thing I want infinitely is the power of a high culture." His wish is coming true.
The popularity of K-Pop Demon Hunters has led to a surge in tourists visiting the Seoul locations featured in the movie. Here are some of the must-visit spots, along with recommended restaurants and cafes.
However, areas like Seongsu, Bukchon, and COEX are so well-known that it's impossible to recommend just a few restaurants. They are battlegrounds for talented chefs and amazing cafes. Just head to a place with a long line, a great interior, or a beautiful view, and you can't go wrong.
COEX K-POP Square 3D Billboard (Gangnam)

The core stage of the movie's intro. The COEX K-POP Square, famous for its breaking wave 3D billboard, is where the Huntrix teaser scene was filmed.
Subway: 3-minute walk from Exit 6 of Samseong Station (Line 2) / 13-minute walk from Exit 7 of Bongeunsa Station (Line 9)
Photo Tip: Capture a movie-like atmosphere during sunset or the blue hour with the reflection of the glass facade.
Nearby Restaurants: Too many to list! Hoho Restaurant, serving Japanese home-style meals, is quite popular. For Korean snack food, try Side Show Tteokbokki. If you're tired of the greasy food in COEX, Seong Si-kyung's Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) restaurant near the old Seoul Hospital across the street offers a home-cooked meal option.
Cafes: Again, too many to list! However, Postonez, a cafe in a renovated house near the KEPCO construction site across from COEX, has a great atmosphere.
Bukchon Hanok Village (Anguk)

The scene where Rumi and Jinwoo have a conversation.
Bukchon, with its serene Hanok alleys and traditional tiled roofs, served as the backdrop for emotional scenes in the movie.
Subway: 10-minute walk from Exit 2 of Anguk Station (Line 3)
Photo Tip: Capture the essence of traditional beauty by visiting in the early morning when there are fewer tourists.
Nearby Restaurants: Michelin Guide-listed restaurants include Samcheongdong Sujebi (handmade noodle soup), Hwangsaengga Kal-guksu (knife-cut noodles), Anam Gukbap (rice soup), Kkotbabe Pida (unique menu, a bit pricey), and Halmae Jip (pork feet, potato stew). Other Michelin Guide restaurants include Moulin (French cuisine), The Green Table (French cuisine), Restaurant Joo Eun, Gaeseong Mandu Goong, Imun Seolleongtang, Onjieum Restaurant, and Horapa (Thai food).
Cafes: Cafe Jo Gyeong De, Orchid Gomet Anguk, Osulloc Tea House Bukchon, Neol Dameun Gonggan, Onion Anguk, Coffee Saneun Sesang, Blue Bottle Studio Seoul. Mostly selected for their scenic views.
Naksan Park Fortress Wall (Hyehwa)

The fortress scene where Rumi and Jinwoo had a quiet conversation.
A scenic spot with a blend of fortress walls and city views.
Subway: 10-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hyehwa Station (Line 4)
Photo Tip: Capture the serene atmosphere created by the curved fortress walls during sunrise or the blue hour.
Nearby Restaurants: Hyehwa Kal-guksu (perilla seed noodle soup, dumplings), Daehakro Yeonhui Gimbap (traditional gimbap, tteokbokki).
Cafes: Slow Park (rooftop view of the fortress), Daehakro Jageun Coffee Jip (quiet atmosphere, brewing specialty).
Cheongdam Bridge & Janyang Station (Hangang River View)

The subway demon battle scene over the Han River.
The 'Ttukseom Park Station' scene in the movie was actually filmed near Janyang Station and Cheongdam Bridge.
Location: Cheongdam Bridge, Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul
Subway: 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Jayang Station (Line 7)
Photo Tip: Recommend a layered shot of Cheongdam Bridge + Olympic Stadium from the riverside.
Nearby Restaurants: Since it's under the bridge, Seongsu-dong is nearby! (Restaurants omitted).
N Seoul Tower (Namsan)

The 'Beacon of Light' in the movie.
Taking a picture when the light color changes can produce a dramatic night view.
Transportation: Exit 2 of Chungmuro Station (Line 4) → Namsan Circular Bus 01 / Exit 6 of Dongdae Entrance Station (Line 3) → Bus 01
Photo Tip: If the weather is nice, any spot with a city view will be great.
Nearby Restaurants: There aren't many notable restaurants near the tower itself, and the options vary depending on the route you take to get there, so it's hard to recommend just a few.
For example:
Northern Route: Mongmyeoksanbang (Michelin-recommended bibimbap), Namsangol Sanchaejip (traditional Korean cuisine)
Itaewon Route: Brown Donkatsu, Buddha's Belly (Thai food)
Seoul Station Route: Eunho Restaurant (oxtail soup), Iiene (ramen), Namsan Donkatsu, etc.
Cafes also vary depending on the route you take up the mountain.
Tertre: Namsan view rooftop cafe
Seoul Ludens: Night views and cocktails available
Other locations featured in the film include Gyeongbokgung Palace and Myeongdong.
