Creator's Intention
Set in Scandinavia to create a story using ice magic.
Motivated by Andersen's fairy tale 'The Snow Queen'.
I wanted to use Korean culture as the subject matter, so I created a story centered on K-Pop, which is unique to Korea, against the backdrop of Korea. That's why the historical accuracy is so good.
Because of a song I happened to hear, 'Let it go', I got a chance to compare <Frozen> with <K-Pop Demon Hunters>.

Huh? Isn't this part similar to K-De-Heon? When I thought about it, I realized that the two works have similarities and very different points.
So I decided to compare them.^^
<Frozen> was produced in 2013 and <K-Pop Demon Hunters> in 2025. It is a work that came out 12 years after Frozen. Is that why? I feel that many things have been improved and greatly developed. The stories are complex, and the characters are strong and capable individuals who are directly confronting the complexities of modern society.
That's why I think there was more catharsis and it was more fun to watch and listen to.
The protagonists have professional jobs, so it was realistic
Can't you feel how much Korea has developed and how much the cultural paradigm has changed in 12 years?
I also realize Korea's charm and cultural power. I think it's thanks to Director Maggie Kang's passion for wanting to use 'Korea' as the subject matter. From the beginning, the planning intention was for Korea!
I think that comparing <Frozen> and <K-Pop Demon Hunters> shows how different the power and passion are when a specific culture is used as a 'motif' versus when a member of that country's culture directly tries to deal with and express that culture.
Both works are fun and moving, but I think <K-Pop Demon Hunters> is overwhelming in terms of cultural vitality, sense of realism, and sense of reality!
