BTS's Jungkook is facing a difficult situation due to dating rumors with aespa's Winter, sparked by similarities in their Instagram usernames.
Jungkook initially deactivated his Instagram account with 52.4 million followers in February 2023. He later opened a new account, @mnijungkook, in July 2025. Despite not having posted a single photo, the account has amassed 12.84 million followers.
The dating rumors began when fans noticed the similarity between Jungkook's previous Instagram username, imjungkook, and Winter's username, imwinter, leading to speculation of a 'lovestagram' (a shared or matching Instagram post hinting at a relationship).
Since then, Jungkook's pet dog Bam's Instagram account has been flooded with malicious comments, which have recently escalated.
Comments such as "Stay away from Winter" and "Leave her alone" have filled the comment section. Some comments have even mentioned his family and included threatening messages like "Die," creating a serious situation.
In response, BTS's fan base, ARMY, has requested fans to leave positive comments on Bam's latest Instagram post.
Conversely, aespa fan accounts claim that the malicious comments are not from Winter supporters, arguing that the profiles linked in the comments do not follow aespa.
Amidst the ongoing online debate, the dating rumors between Jungkook and Winter are not solely based on the similar Instagram usernames.
In March of this year, Jungkook was allegedly spotted at aespa's Seoul concert during his final leave from military service, raising questions about who he was there to see.
Other alleged evidence supporting the dating rumors includes similar in-ear monitor designs (couple items) and claims that they attend the same gym.
There are also unconfirmed rumors of them having couple rings and being seen together at restaurants.
Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) was born in 1997, and Winter (Kim Minjeong) was born in 2001.
Even if the alleged evidence of their relationship is not true, the reason Jungkook went to the aespa concert remains a mystery.
