It's truly legendary how incomprehensible the demands of the Alpha members' fanbases from Boys Planet 2 are.
Hasn't Boys Planet 2 been over for three weeks already?
Why are they still acting up instead of accepting the results?
As you know, Boys Planet concluded a few weeks ago with its final episode, forming an 8-member debut group.
They're preparing for their debut under the name Alpha Drive One, also known as ALD1.
But now, they're demanding that one or two Alpha members be added to the already finalized 8-member lineup?
What's the point of having a survival show then?
The purpose of a survival show is to vote and select a fixed number of members based on popularity.
Why are they refusing to accept the results and demanding additions?
In the past, during Wanna One, X1, and ZEROBASEONE, there were also instances where fans of eliminated contestants protested to create derivative groups.
JBJ was the most successful spin-off from Wanna One, followed by groups like EVNNE.
It seems like they're pushing for "Flare" this time.
But I understand supporting derivative groups.
CJ Mnet seems willing to support these spin-offs.
The problem isn't the derivative groups; it's the Alpha members' fans demanding to put their favorite members into the already formed debut group!
It's such an absurd and ridiculous request.
The final rankings were:
1st: Lee Sangwon, 2nd: Zhao Uanxin, 3rd: Hsu Hsin Lung, 4th: Kim Gunwoo, 5th: Zhang Jiahao (Arno), 6th: Rio, 7th: Jung Sanghyeon, 8th: Kim Junseo.
Yoo Gangmin was 9th and Choi Lipwoo was 10th.
Some of their fans are making questionable demands.
Some say: Dismiss Jung Sanghyeon because of his good chemistry with Choi Lipwoo.
Some say: There are too many Chinese members (3).
Some say: One of the Chinese members should be eliminated and replaced with a Korean member to balance the ratio.
And so on...
Ultimately, they staged a protest with funeral wreaths in front of the Mnet building.
Mnet officials tried to prevent the installation of the wreaths, leading to fights and police involvement.
Especially in foreign countries, the "funeral wreath" culture is seen as very bizarre.
They question why wreaths used for funerals are being used for protests.
The reaction to the funeral wreaths during the RIIZE Seunghan controversy was also negative.
