Wave M Hotel: A Review of My Stay at Geobukseom Island

I had heard great things about this hotel.
Located right in front of Geobukseom (Turtle Island) beach,
I was told the views were amazing and the facilities were excellent!
Wave M Hotel has East and West wings, and
we stayed in the West wing.
Our room was number 12 on the 5th floor, with a double bed.
As soon as you open the door,
the automatic curtains open to reveal
the view.
I now understand why people install automatic curtains...
If you have a great view, automatic curtains seem essential! I felt like I was stepping into a new world.
To the right, there was a cute Happy Bear artwork.

To the left, an endless view of the sea.
I took so many detailed photos because
I loved the hotel room so much.
It was so perfect that I even thought, “If I ever build a house, it should be like this!”
As you enter, the bathroom is on the left,
and the kitchen is on the right.
I liked the separate toilet with a bidet and the shower booth.
The vanity had a separate auxiliary light attached to the mirror,
and disposable amenities are available for purchase at 2,000 won.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion,
and a hairdryer were provided.
The bed was plush, the pillows were a bit low,
and the room's functions were controlled by a tablet.
Note that there are no chargers provided, but you can borrow one from the hotel.
I really liked the hotel-style bed and headboard.
There were reading lights on both sides,
and another light above the headboard on the wall.
Two paintings were hung on the walls.
The TV stand was also nicely designed, and
since there was a T1 game on, I watched it on YouTube.

These days, hotels have monitors installed,
so you can watch various channels through different OTT platforms.
The kitchen had a refrigerator, microwave, and electric kettle.
The washing machine also had a drying function,
so I immediately did a small load of laundry.
The next day, I was able to wear my rash guard nice and dry.

There were three bottles of water provided,
but only roasted brown rice green tea was available,
so it would be a good idea to bring coffee mix from home.
Cooking seems to be prohibited,
but you can probably eat instant food.

The view was so nice that
I woke up early, had a cup of coffee,
and spaced out on the balcony.
It was so wonderful!
Breakfast is 20,000 won,
and it's not something to rave about, just decent.

Someone went to the hotel's free gym
to work out,
and I went for a walk by the sea.
There is a well-maintained walking trail right in front of the hotel,
and some people were walking their dogs in the morning.
It would be a great place to go for a run.

It felt a bit like Sydney, Australia! ^^
I saw a boardwalk over the sea and went to check it out.
Apparently, they also offer yacht tours.
It's introduced as an artist's work...
A very cute Happy Bear balloon(?)

It's three times taller than me
and makes a big statement. lol

It's so cute and easy to spot from a distance.
After taking a walk around,
I could see the hotel where I was staying.

The visibility wasn't great,
but the hotel facilities were clean and nice,
so it would be a great place to come with family.

I saw some tourists
and the staff were all great. ^^
Early morning... the weather is cloudy.
